Thick and soft, but lack durability
Being sensitive to chemicals, I prefer to buy organic cotton. It's pretty much impossible to find organic cotton towels in stores, so I had to buy online. After buying 1 set of these to try out, I really liked them, because they are so thick and soft. I bought 3 more sets so I could retire our old towels. They were replacing towels that were over 25 years old and really getting thin. It is such a treat to use towels that are so thick and soft, after using old, thin towels for many years. However, I was disappointed to see a few of these new towels fraying at the edges after just several months of using them. My husband had to mend them (he is a whiz at mending things.) Our old towels did not start fraying until after > 10 years of use. So I am rather concerned about how durable these will be. I always wash them on the gentle cycle in the washer, as the label says. I don't know if they are fraying because we have an old agitator washer rather than the new style that is easier on clothing. (Our washing machine is > 35 years old but I'm afraid to buy a new one because the new ones only last 10-12 years.) So perhaps these towels would fare better in the new front-loader style of washer that is popular now.

Just received these towels and they are GREAT!! Lush and soft... will be back to order hand towels next now that I see the quality! I have bathroom rugs by Grund as well and they are also amazing, dense but soft and durable. Organic cotton is a HUGE plus! Shipping was very fast, another great experience, thanks!!

I love that it's organic cotton
Only complaint is that they shed easily. Parts of the cotton will rub onto my skin. Maybe this will stop after a few washes. Overall they feel great and are pretty absorbent. They are expensive but I will support the cause to make fabric organic!

Yay for organic
Nice looking and absorbent. However, they are expensive and shed small pieces of cotton. Overall they feel and work great. I will support companies that do the right things!

I am soooo disappointed in the wear and quality of these towels especially for the price. After only a couple of months they look old, worn and are quite bad looking. I don't know why they are wearing so poorly and they snag very easily. I am going to Macys for Hotel collection.
