Gaia Herbs Black Elderberry Syrup, 5.4 Ounce

I have used this for years and will always go back to this one! Comparing any of the other brands, this one is concentrated, and the serving size is smaller. I love this one in the nighttime version. They are super safe to use. They taste great and lasts quite a while. Worth every penny will always use this for myself and my whole family. The immune support is undoubtable. You can take it as is or mix it into a drink if you like as well ingredients are always superb and clean. Thank you, Gaia herbs!!!

I purchased this for my son who is constantly getting sick. It takes him a while to get better and was afraid to have him on medication all the time. His Dr recommended I give him this supplement to support his immune system. I was skeptical at first but I now see that it does really help. It shortens the time he spends being sick. Comes in a glass bottle. Only 5 ingredients. Alcohol free Black Elderberry juice, acerola fruit dried extract, organic sugarcane, water and lemon fruit juice . No food colorings, fillers or preservatives and especially no High corn fructose syrup. berry flavor is wonderful. I could eat it if I could. It tastes like some kind of fancy berry syrup you would put on pancakes. I thought about buying the kid version instead but decided to try this one first. My 5 yr old and 2 yr old have no trouble taking this . Sometimes they ask for seconds, of course I say no but I can relate. Instructions say to refrigerate after opening. Syrup is easily pourable even when cold. I am reordering this to have it readily available for this winter. Btw it is way cheaper to buy it on Amazon. I found it twice as much on store shelves.

This is wonderful. My friend had bought me some and I now get it here on Amazon. The taste isn't too bad too. It doesn't bother my heartburn/reflux at all, but it does hit you a little sweet and a little sour. Maybe eat something before and/or after. Most importantly though, I feel it really is great to boost your immune system and knock out illnesses. From my experience - I started feeling like I got hit by a bus out of nowhere, I immediately started taking some (I actually doubled up the recommended dose and took it like a cough syrup - not recommended for all.) for the first two days and honestly, it knocked it right out of my system! I work in an Urgent Care so I'm surrounded by colds etc. This helps, especially during this season to combat it. I take it regularly (normal dosage) to prevent any bugs and beef up my immune system too throughout the year. I highly recommend trying it and wanted to make sure I do write a review. :) As a frequent Amazon user and consumer/shopper in general, I always appreciate reading some reviews before buying a product! Gaia Organic Black Elderberry Syrup is delicious and effective in boosting your immune system. I switched to this brand about 5 years ago. Once opened it must refrigerated and also shaken well. The dosing is more potent so it is taken a max of 2x a day, in contrast to other brands 4x a day. This really works well for busy people. It works excellent for my allergies.. At first sign of scratchy throat, headache, watery, itchy eyes or throat., and more than normal sneezing. One dose usually is only required. Smaller dose as shown on package has worked fabulous, as well, for my son since he was six. The price I spent here on Amazon when my regular supplier was out of stock was very affordable.

My family started taking elderberry syrup in hopes of avoiding the flu or getting a milder case of the flu if it happens. We bought 3 different brands. This Gaia, Sambuccol and Wild Woman Naturals. Of the three we tried this was our favorite. The Sambuccol is too sweet and a dose is 2 teaspoons. It tastes like there is so much sugar in it, its overwhelming and hard to get down. The Wild Woman Naturals tastes awful to say the least. I wouldn't even let my kids try that one it was so bad. The Gaia is sweet and reminds me a bit of prune juice, but it doesn't taste bad at all. My 11 year old hates it, but will take it with some begging from his mother, everyone else no problem. I am not ridiculous enough to think that this will prevent us from getting sick this season entirely, but I am hoping for the financial investment I am boosting my families immune system. Fingers crossed.

My 3.5 year old son loves this syrup. He asks for it! I do in home daycare and when every child has a runny nose he is the only one clear. If he starts to get one we take a dose and I swear after the second dose it clears him right up! We have also purchased the elderberry queen "syrup", which is more like a juice consistency and he liked that as well. You get more for your money with her brand. The only reason I prefer this one more is because my son is allergic to peanuts and the elderberry queen syrup is made in a factory that may contain peanuts. He never had a bad reaction with it but at that time his skin was bad off and on again and I don't know if that contributed to it or not. With this brand I really wish you would get more for your money but spending 20 bucks a month for my son's health I can't really complain. He loves it.
