How it it for writing?

It’s not a hard surface like a writing pad. Any writing will leave the paper raised on the bottom side of the paper. So when you flip the page over you can feel the writing. I used two different style pens. They both did it with a light touch. The pens didn’t go through the paper but might depending what you’re using for materials and pushing down hard. I’ve had writing pads to cover my desk in the past. This isn’t as firm as that. If that’s what you really want this isn’t for you. This is softer and lays flat from being rolled easier than a writing pad ever could. It works fine for my needs but it may not be for everyone.
