This item is advertise and package as a 20 amp tamper restaurant receptacle which it is NOT! It is a 15 amp receptacle. Note that the picture used on Amazon site is different than what was received. This could be a fire hazard if used as advertised.

This plug comes with a faceplate which is nice BUT there are no faceplate screws to attach it. So you end up making a trip to the hardware store anyway. On another note, the receptacle only has two screw inputs on the back, not four like most. So if the receptacle you want to replace is in series with other receptacles, that becomes a wiring challenge. So I guess that explains why this one costs $13 and the ones at hardware stores cost $21.

There isn't enough current over the C link to charge laptops; however, it does work with an iPhone.

Please note, the USBC wont be power enough to charge your macbook pro. There is a version with PD can do it.

Ordered 3 of these and all are working great. Mainly charging phones and iPads. Install is simple if you know how to install an outlet. Can’t beat the price compared to similar models.

Looks great and love the charging ease.

I bought this unit specifically for the USB-C, but that is the one thing that does not work. I have tried multiple cables, but it will not charge my Pixel 3XL. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on something that will work and the first time.
