Marinetech Panther 55-9300 Waterspike Anchor - 10 lbs. (Boats up to 22')

We live in florida and have had alot trouble finding an anchor that will secure our 21" bowrider we have been using the danforth anchor that came with the boat, but it never quite catches the sand and always seems to come loose.So after watching the videos on the Water Spike on YouTube, we decided to give it try. (Hint it helps to purchase a heavy anchor chain to connect it to the rope for weight) Boy were we surprised, been using this anchor for three months now and we haven't found any place that we can't anchor to mud or sand the Water Spike holds. Retrieval and release is a breese with the rings just motor over the anchor and the anchor comes right up, just as advertised.It's very lightweight too, so even people who aren't that strong can help with anchoring the boat.If your looking for a great everyday anchor, the Water Spike is for you!

This anchor is the ultimate anchor, my husband won't but any other kind of system he absolutely loves it, always works and make sure you use a 3 ft anchor chain and you will have no complaints..

So far we have only used it once. It worked great!

3 stars is a gift at this point....I haven’t used it yet, so I can’t comment on the effectiveness, but it seems like it will work well. What I can tell you thus far is the person running the deburring machine as well as the QC person must have been in the restroom when 1 of the 2 I purchased went down the assembly line. I have fillet knives that aren’t as sharp as this thing! Drew blood taking it out of the box. Should be fun pulling up the anchor with cold wet hands. You can actually see the areas that were never touched with a grinder. I’ll finish the job, but damn, what a surprise reaching into the box. Fortunately I’m up to date on tetanus shots and had band-aids. Hemophiliacs beware...

16 foot boat, keeps me from drifting. Holds very well.

Its to cumbersome & its alot of space to store ,will not stote in same place of old danforth anchor.If ring loop or A frame loop to pull out was about 2" small I see were this anchor would be great.If I could return and it and was allowed I would.21ft tidewater on tennessee river.Also called Factory several times to learn about product no call back or answer.

This anchor is great for what I needed. You don't have to give much line to make it grab. It's perfect for what I use it for.P.S. I have a 20' pontoon.

The anchor works very good in windy conditions if you have at least 100' of anchor rope attached. Takes some time to get it to catch in calm conditions.
