A bit overpriced in India , but a premium rich tablet lives up to the name. Absolute Performance.
BETTER AND FASTER . Been using since 6 months .2k display , eye comfort screen . Running now on Android 9.0 , smooth performance . Battery performance is good. On heavy usage also , battery runs till a day almost . Sometimes , due to some app critical usage causes it to switch on & off automatically . I first thought it was due to bugs in software or heating issue. But it's actually a safe restart provided by the company itself . So it never hangs . 4 GB RAM is worthy of playing any big games . Sound quality is absolutely stunning. Harman - kardan audio = Dolby Atmos . You never ask more . Huawei OS Is simple . file transfer issues there . Although you can use third party apps for it . A tab for Watching videos , lectures , easy making notes . M PEN stylus is good . But I don't use much . The price range in India is too much high . It's actual price in overseas is 20k less than this . But custom charges and tax add up to almost same price . It's almost similar to iPad pro versions. But I shouldn't comment on Camera . It's pretty useless. Nothing attractive just simply there for some pics or day light videos and video calling .Overall , it's price concerns so ...no body wants premium tab for this high price . That's why In India , there is no market for Android tablets . I had to buy from Hong Kong huawei .

M5 Pro is an Awesome Tablet
The MediaPad M5 Pro 10.8 is an awesome tablet.Pros:The build quality is first rate. The sound quality is better than you would expect for a tablet. Almost all the bloatware is uninstallable. The M-Pen is every bit as good as the Surface Pen. The optional keyboard keys feel and responds just like a Surface keyboard. The optional keyboard is great to use in both desktop mode and regular mode.Cons:Desktop mode could use some work. Not all apps will work in it (Gmail for one). Some apps like RD Client (RDP into Windows) won't scale or go full screen (works fine in regular mode). Chrome is full screen only. The good news is you can have 10 or 15 apps open in it without any performance hit.The cameras are typical for a tablet.Other:The Bluetooth/WiFi issue everybody talks about isnt that bad. I was downloading a 9gb mp4 file and had bluetooth on while streaming something else. Sure, the download speed slowed down, but everything else was fine. If you are connected to a "good" router at 5ghz, you should be fine. (Netgear Orbi/5ghz with Comcast 450mbps service)Also, if you have the reported screen touch issue; just move the M-Pen 18 inches away. Problem solved.

Says support OTG, but mine doesn't | Update: the second one reads flash drives with no problems.
Original post:Headline: Says support OTG, but mine doesn't read flash drive through the USB-C port and a USB adapter/cable that supports OTGPretty much in the headline. Other than that, this tablet works great. The build quality is superb. The processor is fast, and the battery life is awesome, much better than my iphone at least. However, it simply won't read flash drive. I've tried different cables supporting OTG, and different flash drives.----Update: I returned the first device and purchased another one. Now it reads flash drives fine. I tested it using an Anker usbc-usb cable, and another cheap cable off ebay, to read a kingston and a sandisk. Works in all of the situations.

Very Pleased With this Tablet
The feature that I find most notable is the sound quality. Nothing short of amazing. The screen image pleases me. The colors are bright and pure and the images very crisp. I like to use my tablet in landscape mode and this one is designed for that. It is well-constructed out of quality materials. All-in-all exactly what I wanted and worth the price.

Really Great Product!
Very satisfied so far! This is an Unbiased, unpaid and totally unsolicited review.I was immediately surprised by the quality of the packaging, it might be an Apple product as far as I'm concerned. The tab feels sleek, so smooth and elegant. The quality of the screen is great, battery lasts forever, and, I don't know what's wrong with people that complain about not having the headphone out: the tablet comes with a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter!Yes, the volume switches need a little getting used to, but overall, they work. I wish they implemented a volume control slide down like for the brightness. The stylus is amazing, even though it, too, needs some getting used to.One bug CON abut it: when you write on the screen, it also detects the hand touching, and this is definitely not good. PLEASE FIX THIS.I am waiting for the keyboard, and then I will update the review.

I'm a Huawei Believer
First I bought the Huawei Mate 10 Pro phone, then I got this MediaPad M5 Pro tablet, and no problems. Just the way I like my purchases: swift receipt, working as intended, and daily use satisfactory. I replaced my Samsung 1st gen Tab S 8.4 tablet which I've owned without fault for a number of years, and when I decided to go for a larger tablet for when I travel I went with the MediaPad M5 Pro. It provides all of the utility I'd wanted and at a competitive price point. No dig at Apple but the quality and finish of the product exceeds a comparable "i" product without breaking the bank. Just because one can afford to pay an exorbitant price doesn't mean one will always choose to do so. Not when there is competition, which is always best for the consumer. And they're both manufactured in Asia, so they were probably built in the same or similar factory down the block. China, Taiwan, tomato, tomato. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. RIP Patrick McGoohan, the original Number Six.
