Braun Electric Razor for Men, Series 9 9293s Electric Shaver with Precision Trimmer, Rechargeable, Wet & Dry Foil Shaver and Travel Case

I had this shaver for 16 months and was very happy with how it worked, then after shaving in the shower one day I put it on the charger and a few hours later it started making a fizzing noise and got really hot and wouldn't turn back on, after letting it cool down and taking it apart I found that the circuit board was wet and corroded. 16 months is not an acceptable lifespan for something that costs $250 I would only suggest buying this shaver if you plan to never get it wet.

Like most non-wealthy Americans, I am mindful of how much is in my bank account when I purchase things. I purchased this Braun Series 9293s shaver thinking I could add the cleaning station a bit later following my initial purchase of the shaver. I could see from the advertisements that the Series 9 shaver had a cleaning station so I thought I'll just purchase the cleaning station later as the initial purchase of the shaver and charging station alone wasn't inexpensive at $249...so no problem, I'll buy the cleaning station a little later. Well...as it turns out, Braun doesn't allow that. When you buy a Series 9293s shaver, it is lacking a microchip that allows it to "talk" to the cleaning station, so if you purchase a cleaning station later, it simply will not work with the Series 9293s shaver. This is probably why you see reviews of so many people who are returning their cleaning stations as "non-working"...because their Series 9293s shaver isn't communicating with the cleaning base. It seems that if you wanted a cleaning station for your Series 9 shaver, then you had to know that at the time you initially purchased it and opted for the shaver kit that included the cleaning station. Otherwise, you cannot acquire a cleaning station for your Series 9293s shaver after the fact. What a bizarre marketing strategy for Braun to embrace. Braun, how did you let this happen, and why were you not communicating this fact clearly to your potential customers interested in your shaver products? I am hugely disappointed over this little "strategy" and would not be inclined to purchase a Braun again based upon how this all rolled out. I don't think it's fair to the customer. Wouldn't it have been better for all to just include the needed "chip" in the Series 9293s shaver and increase the product cost to cover the cost of the chip? Then the cleaning station could have been acquired at a later time when personal finances allowed. Heads up...if you want a cleaning station...don't purchase the 9293s shaver thinking you'll buy the cleaning station later or you'll fall into this little trap. If you need the cleaning station, buy it as a complete kit so the shaver can "communicate" with the cleaning station. If you want the cleaning station, then look closely at the Series 9 model 9290cc. Hope this is helpful to you. Wish someone would have steered me in the right direction up front as $249 is a lot to spend and get locked out of the benefit of a cleaning station due to the absence of one little micro chip. Seems like such a short sided approach by Braun in a market where consumers can be discriminating in their future purchases.

The Braun 9 9293s is the best electric shaver I have ever used - when it is not being repaired. I have returned this shaver to warranty service five times for several different problems since I purchased it on April 30, 2017. While I would like my money back I don't know if Braun or Amazon will return the ~$260 I paid for this lemon.

Horrible performance, does not shave well, not durable, and its not top of the line. I always got top of the line for any product I purchase, for over 20 yrs I had one Norelco well not water proof, didnt exist back then and it just gave me great shave never replaced the shaving heads. Till the rechargeable battery died I consider a new one after annoyed by using the cord plugged in all the time. Braun paid great for their product to be seen online as I google seeing a youtube video decided to purchase their top of the line Series 9. Horrible experience on my first shave worst than my 20 yr old norelco. I just recently purchase a top of the line Norelco and wow its way better than Braun, I used to take like 10 mins to shave with Braun, Norelco does the job in 2-3 minutes.. Braun just struggles to cut and its a bad shaver.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I purchased this Braun Series 9 less than a year ago — one day, the shaver started turning itself on and off randomly (see video), both while in use and while sitting in the cabinet (which was a bit alarming). With the frequent on/offs, the battery never lasted more than a day.I contacted Braun support for warranty service and was told that, despite my having sent a video of the obviously faulty razor, I would have to send in the device and wait up to 6-8 weeks for a replacement as they completed analysis. Keep in mind, this shaver is something I use every day and for which I paid a significant premium.If you really want this style of electric shaver, purchase Amazon’s warranty coverage — there will be a problem with this razor, and Braun still hasn’t come through with my replacement after weeks.

It is a fantastic electric razor! It cuts the 3 day old growth on my neck with no problem and is the most comfortable shave I’ve ever had. It is so comfortable that I don’t mind shaving. I previously used a Panasonic ES-LA93 for 4 or 5 years, but it did not cut the 3 day old growth on my neck very well and would pull on the hairs making it a very uncomfortable shaving experience. I also had to keep going over an area, especially my neck, in order to get all the stubble and it still left behind hairs.I decided to give to Braun Series 9 a try based on the many great reviews and You-Tube videos of people actually shaving with the Series 9 shaver.It is a lot lighter than it’s size would suggest and it feels very balanced in your hand. I think the high vibration of the shaver contributes to it’s comfort level, as it easily glides over face instead of dragging. I’ve been using the shaver now for almost 3 months and very happy that I made the switch to the Braun Series 9 shaver. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking who wants a quick, close and above all comfortable shave.

I've had this razor for 9 months and I've sent it in for repair 4 times. FOUR TIMES! It will work well for a month or two and then stop working completely. I was unable to get a refund because the issue never presented itself until after the return time frame lapsed. I use it in my shower and my suspicion is that it is not truly waterproof. The issue seems electric in nature. My last razor was a Panasonic Arc 4 I used it in my shower everyday for about 5 years without an issue.

For all the hype and advertising, the Braun series 9 is an okay shaver. It does a slightly better job than my years old series 5. It still has a difficult time getting flat lying hair. It feels much nicer against the skin and the four foils hug the chin as you go along it. When compared to the Phillips Norelco series 8000, I found the Braun to be lacking. The Phillips offers a closer shave without irritating the skin as much and it does a better job at getting the flat lying hair. Braun needs to up its game.

After reading the mixed reviews, wasn't sure if I'm doing a right decision on buying the product. I have a very expensive skin and an electric shaver is the only option for me.My last two shavers lasted me 4 and 2 years (Philips/Panasonic).I was mostly satisfied with both but never felt a WOW factor. The Panasonic was better on my skin but it was taking forever to shave and it was messy as well. And in the end it was damaged by a moisture leaking into on/off button.This shaver wowed me instantly.Super smooth on my skin and shaving 3x faster in comparison to my last shaver.This is a first impression. Will update the review if anything changes.

My old electric shaver cost $35. I was sure that if I paid $250. for a name brand shaver I'd get a much better shave but that hasn't been true. The improvement is so slight that it's hardly noticeable. I tried to return it but they refused. I can't believe I wasted all that money!

This is my first electric shaver ever. I always used a Gillette's razors so i decided to give a try. Well, i had high expectations from the latest model and expensive machine. The results may vary depending on the part of the face or neck. For the face I'd say results are very good but is doesn't leave the smooth feeling as a razor. For the neck, the results are OK, not good, it requires many attempts to get all the hairs but never is possible to get them, not smooth, not clean view, irritated skin.

Meilleur rasoir à vie. Après avoir essayé le ARC 4 de Panasonic (trop agressif pour ma peau sensible) et le Philips série 9 pas assez efficace pour ma barbe forte, le Braun série 9 vient de changer ma vision du rasage. Il est doux pour la peau et extrêmement précis. Le rasage se fait très rapidement même avec une grosse barbe de 3 jours. Il y a longtemps que ma peau n'a pas été si lisse après un rasage. Impressionnant.
