Very mild heat, unless you're eating it by the teaspoonful. The flavours are amazing. Well worth it, and I'm not a fan of hot n' spicy. But I love this one.

Q: Is this at all similar to Indian tamarind chutney, the red kind that usually comes with samosas?

I doubt it. This is actually more like a sauce that has spices added. But I'd bet that it would make an awesome dipping sauce for samosas. It's also great on fish and all sorts of sandwiches.

Q: When sauce was delivered the sealed was broken. Has that happened to anyone else ?

not only was the cap open, but there’s no expiration date and it was disgusting and smelly

Q: Does it need to be refrigerated after opening? It doesn’t say on the jar.

I suppose that’ll depend on the temperature of your house. The general rule of thumb would be similar to jams and jellies. In the warmer climate, refrigerate.
