Well-conceived product, makes my shop-built jigs accurate
I'm building quite a few picture frames so I built a 45 degree miter sled to speed up the process and improve accuracy. I built the sled with quarter sawn hardwood runners to minimize seasonal movement. The sled worked well for the most part but I recently attempted some wide-board frames (unforgiving) and could not get the miters to close properly. I checked my saw's blade alignment to the miter slot and checked the alignment of the sled fences to the blade with 45 triangles. All looked good but I quickly discovered too much slop between the runners and the miter slot. I built the sled back in August and it's winter now so the wood did contract and there is too much slop to get accurate cuts. After some Internet searching I found these guide bars. I installed one bar on the sled and aligned everything through the top of the sled. The instructions are clear and accurate providing hole spacing, depth of counter-bore, etc. It is a little fussy to get the guide bar set to the proper width to minimize slop but still allow smooth movement of the sled. However, 10-15 minutes of set-up for what should be an accurate tool for years to come is well worth it to me. The proof is in the results. Every corner of every frame is now tight and professional.

Amizing product - cant believe i went this long without
this is my second set. I build oversized, heavy furniture and I am constantly upgrading my table saw slide/sled. As an Engineer I am very OCD that my 90 deg angles... have to be 90 degrees.. not 88.. .not 92... but 90 +/- 0.5.I used to make my one bars our of hardwood but couldn't really get a nice fit. They would work fine the first few times but then wear out and there was a slightly little play to each side which I was fixing with tape to increase the width by mils. \these ZEROPLAY are amazing. follow the instructions. use a nickel and a thickness gauge and you don't have to worry. my sled is 4ft long x 2.5ft wide. and I used specialty extruded aluminum as the fence with a wooden backup at the saw cut line.Highly recommend these miters bars.22JUN17 UPDATEI STILL LOVE THESE... I NEED ZEROPLAY TO BUILD LONGER ONES THOUGH - JUST TO FIT MY NEEDS! :)

Some Skills Necessary
Setup in your mitre slot is extremely easy. You’ll be in business in 90 seconds. Building a sled is far more time consuming but not impossible if you take your time and have some basic woodworking skills. The included directions give you basic plans for a sled but using your imagination, the possibilities are endless.Having a drill press and the necessary forstner bits are almost a must for building a sled which I didn’t foresee when I purchased these. Just another reason to buy more tools to the wife’s dismay. For my sled, I used 3/4” cabinet plywood and glued on a 3mil PVC sheet which makes gliding on the table surface smooth as butter. I bought an extra handle for my GRR-Ripper and used that for extra control. I painted the finished product and plan on adding a plexiglass guard to protect against any possible kick backs.Overall, a great and well thought out product and definitely recommend.

Excellent
This worked great for me to make a custom cross cut sled for my old craftsman table saw. The adjustment is easy to make and there is no play at all! Making custom miter bars is annoying and they can flex over time, where as I know this will not.

zeroplay means zero play
The only complaint I have is they are expensive. They do perform better then I expected and zeroplay means zero play in this case. If I hit the lotto I would buy them again and I recommend them for the person that wants the more perfect cut on a table saw. I have not used them on any other shop equipment / tools. Arrived on time, packaged well, easy to install and adjust.

Will not work with Ryobi table saws
This product did not work for my Ryobi 10" table saw. I reached out to the manufacturer who told me I could receive a refund but they stopped responding to me and never followed through.

I like them. I wish they made them out of ...
I like them. I wish they made them out of aluminum or something other than plastic, but I like them. Best system to get a solid miter channel lock. I HATE HATE HATE the other brands that have the crush washers that fatten up when you use an hex wrench on the screw in the middle.

Used them on a cross cut sled
I didn't want to go thru the hassle of customizing the fit of hardwood runners I saw on several woodworking videos and I found these online. They were pretty easy to mount and dial in a nice snug but not too snug fit. I have a very smooth and tight crosscut sled. I put 2 sets end to end in both slots so I can pull the sled back far enough to cut 10+ inches between the blade and sled face. This is on my portable saw mind you. There are plenty of videos on making cross cut sleds and these are a nice addition.
