Good SSD drive upgrade for general use
I'm upgrading my Dell laptop from a regular hard drive. This SSD drive is a good value for the price point. I'm not a gamer, so I can't speak to gaming performance, but if you're upgrading from a spinning hard drive, or even just wanting to start over fresh with a new OS install, this is a good option. Haven't had it long enough to evaluate the long-term reliability of the drive, but so far I'm quite happy with it.

Used this to run XBOX One games
Pair with SATA to USB 3.0 adapter for XBOX One to get Hacienda del Patron and Cosmodrome to load/render while still free falling. PUBG is really the only game where game play is improved (noticeably), but load times for Battlefield have been cut down too. Destiny 2 is dead, but I'm sure it will help with the load time there too - I would test it but not cluttering up the new SSD with that slop.USB adapter link here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0716JKJ68/Bonus: The bright Blue and White graphics on the drive is only a sticker, so off with that shiz for a more lowkey look.480GB

Woohoo
Put this in my old dual core laptop and threw away the original mechanical hard drive. What a difference it makes, my dual core now beats my i5 table top in boot up, I dont run the risk of it crashing now (no movable parts) and its running like its on steroids. All laptop owners with old hard disks need to upgrade to a SSD, its worth the time it takes to swap it out. This one has been running great since I put it in, no issues and no complaints.

Better but not as good as expected
Not sure about the speed. Benchmarks say I should be getting twice what I'm getting. I ran atto disk on this drive after migrating my windows 7 system with an older i5 laptop but it only gets around 200MB/s. Not sure if the laptop is SATA II or III but I would think with II, I should have at least 300MB/s. I gave it 5 stars since it works well and I dont know what I dont know, that is, I cant say if the issue is due to the drive or my laptop.

Virutec Computer Repair Approved.
I run a small computer repair store and only leave reviews on the things I feel meet expectations. I am giving this item a 5 star because It works great with no problems. We probably spend over $50,000 a year on Amazon for our business, so finding the right parts in a timely matter at an affordable price so I can make some profit is key. We rely on Amazon to keep us in stock with parts.

so-so ssd
I was very disappointed with this SSDs performance. Its actually the slowest SSD I have ever used. The price at the time was a decent sub US$50, so i bought it and after I ran the crystal diskmark, was very distraught by its very poor performance. I consider this purchase a waste of money.

Not a bad drive
I bought this as a primary drive for a new light use PC Build. It got pulled from that build to replace a 5 year old failing Samsung 840 in my primary PC. This has been a good disk so far. It is about as fast of the older Samsung, so I really can't complain.

Believe The Bad Reviews - Dead In Months
Wanted an inexpensive SSD to revive an older OptiPlex workstation. Installed great, transferred image from existing rotational drive. Weeks later, no boot or gets stuck on black screen. Run utilities on it and comes up with bad blocks if it keeps running at all. Seems to work for about 10 minutes and then stops responding completely. For literally $20 more, got a similar sized Samsung SSD, restored Windows backup to it and PC works instantly. What I find strange is the Hyundai SSD appears slightly bowed now that it failed. Would bet it has some type of heat expansion failure that kills many electronics. The OptiPlex it was installed in has a dedicated fan for the hard drive area though, so whatever the failure, it must be that poorly tested or designed. Believe the reviews. Avoid the hassle. Check your backups!
