uBoxes Bubble Cushioning 48" Wide x 175' feet - Small Bubbles - 3/16" Size

This bubblewrap was specifically purchased to construct insular curtains for the winter. It is absolutely perfect. It is made of thinner plastic than some packaging bubblewrap. The bubbles are small - 3/16". It hangs well. So happy!I live in an house that is almost 100 years old. New York winters can get cold even though we are not too far north. Certainly, the temperature drops down at night. I am attempting to conserve heat and, therefore, utility bills. (Last summer I purchased [on Amazon] mylar emergency heat blankets to reflect out the sun's heat and save on a/c electricity. They definitely worked very well for that purpose.)I installed a simple homemade tension cable system with binder clips. The bubblewrap was cut with scissors at 6 foot lengths and clipped it in. Easy to do. They slide open and close easily. They drape well because this bubble wrap is thin. The plastic is semi opaque so sun comes in when they are closed. Even though the windows and doors in my kitchen are new and insulated, when I open the bubble wrap curtains, you can feel the cold air trapped behind them and the glass.Most other windows in my house are the original 1925 bronze casement windows. On particularly cold days, I place bubblewrap between the closed shades and the glass. This definitely acts as effective insulation on old non- insulated windows - attic windows, as well.I believe that these new curtains make a difference regarding heat loss on very cold days. While my design is not original, I believe that it helps keep us warmer and a few extra pennies in our pockets. It's all about this great bubblewrap.

I use the Bubble Cushioning 48" wide to wrap paintings framed under glass when exhibiting in galleries. I don't wrap the paintings completely in bubble wrap only the glass side, the wood frames and the hardware on the back. (Paintings need to breath.) Recently I moved and the bubble wrap was useful in protecting small fragile objects placed in boxes. I prefer the smaller-sized bubbles. Larger bubbles pop more easily and then the protection is gone.

We got some spring-loaded curtain rods and just hung this wrap over the top (double thickness) to make thermal shades for windows in rooms that we do not use frequently. Seems to work quite well, and also lets in light. Wish it came in a half-volume roll of the same width. You get quite a lot, so we now have to find a storage spot for a 2 ft diameter, 4 ft tall roll, and figure out uses for the rest of it!

Used to wrap a kitchen plant window (metal, circa 1980s) which allows cold air infiltration (central Texas). Could be used to make thermal curtains on other windows.

Product is advertised as 48” but it’s 4- 12” rolls put into one bag. Absolutely deceptive advertising and should be removed by Amazon.

This is a great product at a reasonable price. Note that it is perforated, so if you're wanting non-perforated this is not the right product for you. I ordered it, thinking it was non-perforated, and the customer service department went above and beyond expectations to make it right. I highly recommend UBOXES as a seller.

Width was great-48 inches. Could have been a little thicker.

This is described as perforated every 12". The label on the package also says it's perforated every 12". This is exactly why I chose this product over others.This is most definitely NOT perforated. You will need a tape measure and scissors to use it if you are looking for specific sizes when you use it.The bubbles are small, densly packed, and high... excellent.
