I bought all 8 of the available "founding fathers"
I love the the look, feel, and quality of these Royal Bobble bobbleheads. I missed-out on Samuel Adams but, as much as I love my collection, I'm not paying hundreds of dollars to complete the set.

Comparison of Royal Bobbles With Plastic Funko-type Wobble Heads
These Royal Bobble pieces are highly detailed and quite hilarious when their little heads wobble back and forth. Wobblers have a real presence--far more so than many other types of collectibles, including the really serious stuff. Having been collecting "wobble heads" (aka, "wobblers") for the last two months, I thought I would point out a few fundamental features of the two main types. In particular, let me highlight the major differences between these "Royal Bobble" pieces and the "Funko" brand wobblers which are made out of conventional plastic. Each type has its own appeal, and they are more different than you might expect. The Funko wobblers are much lighter. They tend to be more animated--they are caricatures of the subject. They are very amusing to look at, and their price seems to be dependent on their age and availability. If you are looking at a desirable older model which no longer is readily available, the price might get up there into the twenties or thirties, or maybe higher for really coveted pieces. The disadvantage to the lighter plastic is that it doesn't pick up background vibration as much as the denser polyresin (such as used by Royal Bobbles and a few other manufacturers), and thus they don't tend to wobble as much. They are less reactive to random vibration, and you typically won't see a lot of movement as it just sits there on your shelf. The advantage to the lighter plastic is that they are more durable--your cat can knock them off the shelf and even if it goes all the way to the floor, they likely will be just fine. If it simply gets knocked over, it will be fine. When you pack it up to move, you can just stick it in a sock and throw it in a box and it will be fine. You don't have to keep the original box unless you are a collector who is concerned about future resale value. That durability is a huge consideration, and a big advantage. The Royal Bobbles are made of this very dense stuff called polyresin. Their little heads are easily put into motion and the detail on these things is truly amazing. I just bought all the Founding Fathers and I'm delighted--this is a really captivating set. Any lawyer, judge, politician, or history buff would love the complete set of Founding Fathers, and some of the other presidents as well. You might think the polyresin is extremely hard and durable, but unfortunately it is not. This stuff breaks easier than ceramic. It is very brittle. I have received two pieces which arrived with breaks to fingers and pony tails (as worn by our Founding Fathers). My cat knocked over my Teddy Roosevelt--it just fell over, it didn't go to the floor. It was irreparably damaged and sadly went straight to the trash. Be aware that cats love the movement of wobblers and they will do whatever they can to get up to them and investigate!! I had to put all of mine in a gun cabinet. But it has been a real bummer to learn that these things are so fragile. Don't get too connected to these if you live in California, because with the first real earthquake, these things are all going to go up in a polyresin cloud. Furthermore, given their fragility, you will want to keep the boxes that these come in so you can move them safely. The boxes have custom-cut styrofoam inserts and so the piece is well protected inside the box. The problem is that the boxes are huge--they are about the size of a shoe box. So, you are going to have to find a place to store these boxes. If you are tight on space like I am, that's a real challenge and a major imposition. Both styles have their own appeal. I never thought I would collect wobblers, but once you get even one, the floodgates are opened and you likely will find yourself wanting a few more. They are amusing and colorful, and they really add some lightness to my otherwise somber décor of books and travel artifacts. They are not serious things, but they are fun. Enjoy.

High Quality
Ok, Let's get something clear. Royal Bobbles does not disappoint in their products. This is a perfect likeness of Thomas Jefferson during the American Revolution. He is holding what appears to be the Declaration of Independence and a quill pen as well. The box in which Jefferson comes in is also worth keeping, it has several facts and paintings of Jefferson on it. The doll itself is high quality and made of resin, which if dropped will break. This is a perfect gift for any history buff or teacher. If you enjoyed this I would recommend The John Adams or Benjamin Franklin bobble head by the same company.
