Easy to see and easy to zero
Update: Original review below follows update.I purchased four and a half years ago for my AK because I wanted something small. It worked great. I bought a sub2k and switched it to that and I loved it. I just pulled it out and turned it on to be greeted by no dot, but a huge red blur. It was fine last time I put it away. It simply stopped working while stored away. Time to replace it, but the new optic won't be a Sightmark.Original review:I got this for my AK. I have a Sightmark red dot on my AR and I like this reflex sight better. I found it easier to see through and easy to zero in with the help of a boresight at 25 yds. Windage and elevation were easily adjustable and have never gotten out of adjustment. It's small, unobtrusive and light weight of course. The buttons are easily accessible and responsive. Just two buttons. One on each side. Both buttons are power buttons and one button increases the dots brightness and the other decreases it. I am one of those people with aging eyes, yet I was able to hit a golf ball at 100 yds using this sight on my AK. (Admittedly, it took me three shots.) I am seriously considering pulling the Sightmark red dot off of my AR and replacing it with a Sightmark reflex sight.

Best in price range by far.
I now own 2. After putting one on my gen 5 G17 MOS I put one on an extar ep9 and it is a very nice match there as well. These units are robust, bright, and high quality. The buttons are tactile and functionally responsive. Tap the up arrow briefly and its on. Up arrow on left, down arrow on right. Hold both for 5 seconds for off. Zeroing was easy on both. Not really audible clicks but dials are posative feeling if you just pay attention to the tool location as you turn the zeroing dial. Took about 10 -12 rounds on both units to get zeroed at 12 yards. Battery life 20,000hrs. 12 hour auto shut off but no shake awake or motac feature. Just remember to tap up arrow at beginning of carry and every 12 hours after. Nice shroud over top for drop protection. Brightness is beyond daylight bright. I did find a slight glare issue in bright sunlight over rear shoulder sun but not washout glare. Still could be an issue for some. Overall a very good value for the $200 price range. Definitely recommend.

Nice optic for a fair price
I’ll start off with saying I haven’t shot with this sight yet or been able to sight it in, but just from the build Quality, FDE finish, settings, and included attachment options, I’m a fan of this sight! Will be putting this on an AR9 setup, but tested it out on my .22 AR and I’m loving how it looks/feels! Glass is nice and clear too. If this holds zero like reviews have mentioned even on 556 platforms, I have no doubt this sight will be great on an AR9. I already want a second one to stay on my fde .22!

Great budget sight but NOT for Shotguns
I have several of these as they work really well and have a great price point.Recently got a Beretta A300 autoloader with a GG&G adapter plate. This sight has the same footprint as the Vortex sights, Viper and Venom. With regular 2 3/4 shot shells this sight does not work. Turns off after every shot and will not turn back on. Must remove the battery and reinstall before it will turn back on. DID holds its zero after 5 attempts.removed and will move to another platform.SO> Rifle yes... Shotgun, and likely pistol, NO

Internal glass issues/lost zero/no longer adjusting/horrible customer service
There is splatter inside the glass. Will not clean off. I have only shot the gun with this on about 5 times at the range. Hugely disappointed in the clarity. Having issues with holding zero as well. Way overpriced for the quality. Should have gone with a brand with more of a track record. Not worth the money at ALL! This is mounted on my 9mm G3C TORO. Will never buy this brand again.***Update***So, two months later…I was at the range and the sight completely lost Zero. I went from tack driving the bullseye, to a full foot below it. I tried to adjust the dot back down and it wouldn’t move. Also, the dot turned into a huge splatter. Sent it back, they claim they are replacing it with a brand new one…will update review again.***Update***So, another month later…calling “Sellmark” the parent company and customer service division does not work, you have to email them if you want a response. It took me over a week just to get a RMA# so I could start the return process. I am still waiting for them to even acknowledge that they have received the sight. According to USPS, they received it over a week ago. Once they acknowledge receipt, it could take weeks for them to process a new replacement sight…then they need to ship it. I probably won’t get the new sight until sometime next year. So, I informed their customer service that I no longer had confidence in their product, or their customer service and I would just like a refund so I can purchase something else…that was three days ago, still haven’t heard back from them.***Update***My first review was September 18th, it is now December 22.My refund was denied by customer service because I bought their product on Amazon instead of directly from them. They informed me they installed a new operating system, it usually doesn’t take this long to process a replacement. (I was originally told 5-10 days) that was long ago. I still have yet to be told where I am in the replacement process…whether my return has even been processed. Days pass before they respond, yet don’t answer questions with relevant information on my return. It is now to the point that I am going to file a complaint with Amazon, and with my credit card company. I will update my review when I have more…***Update***So, I finally got the New red dot from Sightmark in January 2023. It only took them 3 months to honor their warranty (Sarcasm). I remounted the the new red dot and took it to the range. Everything seemed to be working well. Skip to two months later and three more trips to the range…and Crap! The glass has developed a mountain shaped discoloration in the lower left side that will not clean off (see photo). If I return this one, I should see a new one by sometime mid summer. What a complete waste of $200. Don’t buy this! I will update again in about 4 months when I get the 3rd red dot…**Update 2nd replacement sightNew red dot sight receivedTook the new replacement sight to the range, it kept shutting off. I finally timed it. It shuts off after 3 minutes all on its own. Not 12 hours like it’s supposed to. Sending the third sight back to sightmark.***Update is the 4th sight going to be the charm?? I will add to the review after a few range trips

Great little red dot for Rifle or pistol
2nd product I got from Sightmark. As always packaging was great down to the product.Item:Comes with Quick Detachable base and an optional rise mount as well, Allen keys, set screws and the red dot itself with plastic cover.Quality:The red dot is very nice, with a bit of weight to it. Glass is great, not superb with a bit of red tinting to it. The red dot itself is bright and can get very low which can be beneficial with night vision. The buttons are very tactile.Mounted this on my IWI Masada but needed to get the mount on it a bit fixed. It fits the Vortex Venom/Viper mount with slight modification. Overall presentation and feel is great. Still gotta range test it.
