There's a notable difference in the taste of the water. I live in the city and the water is decent but the filter really helps to clean it up a little bit more. Good purchase.

Good filters
The excellent Polish made Dafi glass filter pitcher takes two types of filters: one, the more expensive of the two provides more alkaline water and this one, Brita compatible, for about one third of the price. Both are very good filters, but because of the price difference I find myself using these filters more often.

They work fine with Dafi water pitcher. I don't know of another filter that fits
