Exactly the taste I expect from EU pine nuts. Be wary of claims such as “organic” or “California” on the labels of other brands. European nuts are sweet with a nuanced flavor profile. With a minute of half-hearted research, you will find virtually all of these products are grown in China. I can’t get past the taste of motor oil from Asian “pine nuts”. Pay a little extra for the real thing!

I read about the high nutritional value specifically regarding the Mediterranean pine nut . Wanted to try it .The size of the nut is larger than the American pine nut but otherwise looks similar . The taste was not bad but I found my order tasted less fresh , less crispy . I always buy raw American pine nuts and they usually taste fresher and crunchier . Maybe it’s just this variety or maybe it truly was not as fresh as I’m accustomed to when buying sealed packaged pine nuts as I always do .
