I got this cable to watch Netflix and some videos from my iPhone on my TV. The Usb needs to be plugged in - it powers the SoC in the cable.At first the cable worked, at least a little bit. The quality of the picture is terrible though. A ton of frames skipped in video playback. When trying to watch Netflix, the screen goes black.Now after fiddling around with it and updating firmware, it has stopped working altogether. It’s a terrible cable and I would recommend just going with the genuine Apple one.

The product looked like it had great quality, it worked once when it arrived and was carefully stored, the next time it no longer worked only a QR code would show in the screen. No way to reach the manufacturer or seller for support. Truly a waste of time and money, made me miss the streaming of the Super bowl!

Had to download an app and run updates. Not sure what that did but after running updates worked with multiple devices. The instructions were not clear. After all this it does not work with certain apps like Netflix due to copyright protections

Failed to read reviews and its capability before I purchased it. Big mistake on my part.. if you’re looking to watch movies from streamed sources with this cord, DONT PURCHASE it!!

Works sporadically. Not worth trying. Using for 2 months total so far.

Very durable, good quality, but doesn’t work with mirroring any of my Apps on iPhone or ipadOnly mirrors streaming off websites, but also hit or miss cause it’ll say “not compatible “ with iPhone/iPad 😕
