I was skeptical because I bake sourdough and it can be pretty tough for a bread knife. I love this! Great knife! I hope it lasts, it is certainly very sharp right now!

This beautiful knife is sharp and cuts straight and true, a must for splitting cake layers. Having had my one bread knife for 55 years and never having sharpened it, this new one is a joy.

Great bread knife. Elegant looking. Do not put it in the dishwasher because it dries out the handle and it is not quite as attractive. Still it didn't actually hurt the knife and it still looks good. I'd recommend this.

This one wasn’t quite as well finished as my others of the same brand. It was still a good value - but I expected a better handle. Instead, the grip is slightly uncomfortable because the wood is cut slightly smaller than the handle, leaving a sharp edge to irritate the palm. Aside from this, the knife is weighted well allowing for adequate function as a paring knife. I always hand wash knives immediately after use, so rust and water stains aren’t an issue. The biggest issue is that out of the box, this knife could not pass my sharpness test (slicing paper cleanly). I had to sharpen on a whetstone - but I am happy to report that the blade can be sharpened to pass the test. Overall - there may be better options out there if you seek perfection out of the box.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this one deserves one. Very nice knife! I bought it for my husband for Father’s Day and he loved it. Blade is very sharp, I loved that the etching on the blade matched the handle. It came in a nice gift box with a knife sheath. Will buy more types of knives of this brand.Sharpness:Very sharp, right out of the box.
