Power Steering Rack & Pinion For Honda Accord 2.4L 4-Cyl 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 Sedan Coupe - BuyAutoParts 80-01561AN New

Just replaced the steering rack and outer control arms(purchased separately) on my 2011 Honda Accord 2.4L with over 300k mi. I was previously noticing an unbalanced steering assist with the old rack where turning left was much easier than turning right. The car still tracked perfectly. I determined it had to be the hydraulics internal to the rack by going on a straight away, switching to neutral, then turning off car to disable steering pump. When i turned left or right, either way felt balanced without the hydraulic assist. Do this at your own risk by the way! Anyway, the replacement of the rack did involve loosening of the lower subframe, removal of side transmission damper bracket, driver side lower strut mount, and rear engine mount. I tried my best to reduce what needed to be removed. After over 10hours of labor, the new part was in! The steering responds beautifully now with no play, no noise, no leaks. Like the one other post, I agree it is more sensitive than i prefer. But I seem to recall the "working" side of the old rack was just as sensitive. Would buy again compared to how the other refurb options looks.
