Will this work with a Pioneer Pl-260 turntable?

I can't really say I used it on a Technics SL 230

Will it work on a technics SL2000

It should, I have a Technics SL1500. As long as you have a screw on connection for your tone arm cartridge with a location pin it should work. Also go for the more expensive needle and cartridge, for tracking and sound quality.

Does it fit straight tone arms

The cartridge doesn't know what shape the tonearm is. If it's a pivoted straight arm, probably best to buy the cartridge only, and use the headshell that came with the tonearm. If it's a p-mount, it won't work. If it's a linear tracker, you're pretty much on your own.
