My laptop, like most new laptops, doesn’t have a built in DVD drive, and I have a bunch of DVDs that I watch when I can’t find them on Netflix. I was very surprised how easy this was to use. It's almost impossible to find a modern laptop with a CD drive these days, that makes products like this invaluable for people like me who have a decent sized game collection on CD. I've wanted one of these for a while and finally decided to bit the bullet and get one. I loved getting a chance to play some of my old games, 5 stars just for allowing me to play Diablo 2 again. I'm also looking forward to being able to watch DVD's on my travels which will make travelling with my 5 year old much easier. It's literally just plug in and play as well so very easy to swap between our family's 3 laptops.It looks well built and while I've only had it a short time, it has managed to survive on my living room table with said 5 year old around and so far still works. There is some sound from it but no more than I would expect, it's quieter than my Xbox for example. I'd highly recommend.

Had no problem when using this product, origionally was going to give it as a gift to my father for christmas but then discovered he already had one so i kept it for myself and im glad i did as my new laptop doesnt have a disc drive! The USB makes this product easy to plug and play, easy to set up and easy to put away, so far ive mainly just played music cd's and dvds but works great, however im looking forward to testing out its writing capabilities, who said cds were a thing of the past?

I've considered getting an external drive since owning a notebook that doesn't have an external drive. Quite a pain when a lot of software comes on a dvd. I've managed to get by until recently when my laptop that I use for work took a flying lesson (I tripped over the cable when it was plugged in) and since then, the dvd drive refuses to work properly 😫Target portable dvd drives and liked the look of this one with its rippled surface.Plugged into my windows laptop and the data disc that wouldn't load started immediately and loaded with no issues.This dvd rewriter has a usb cable built in which stores nicely underneath the drive, and powers from the usb source so no further cables are required.

Im a technophobe in my 60 s and I was so sad that my newish car doesnt have a cd player , What to do? Well my daughter said get this gadget, put your cds on it , burn onto computer and then onto a USB stick, Ive managed it ! With a little help to start me off.And actually its good ! Cos now I dont have loads cds and cases cluttering up the car, I now have a couple of these sticks and a menu comes up on screen in the car (media) and I can choose what album I want,Im converted , almost, !!

I have a small netbook which has no cd/dvd drive which at the time wasn't a problem as I could use the drive on my main desktop PC as long as both machines where connected to my network I could share it. Then Microsoft changed how Windows 10 network worked with sharing drives. So I needed a disk drive and this one fits the bill its small so don't take up much room looks great, is fast enough when burning cd/dvd's. I've used it to load several programs onto my netbook now and it works great would buy again. Well worth the money

It’s a very handy DVD drive. Quick to install and very easy to use. I love it’s compact size. You can fit it easily in your backpack. I especially like it as I can still watch my favourite movies when I am travelling, without worrying about data connection.
