Works amazingly!
I used this product on some really sticky tarot cards that were produced with a weird plastic coating that defeated the purpose of shuffling in any way. The cards went from awful to amazing. I used the method they recommended on the canister but I also put them out on a beach towel, grabbed an old makeup brush and rubbed the extra powder off (just don't breath it in) and I cannot believe how great it worked.Update: still a great product and customer service but I wouldn't recommend putting the cards in a bag with the powder and shaking it because this time it tore a few of the cards plastic coating right off. And regardless you still need to brush off the powder residue so just using a big make up brush is probably best.

Only powder you'll need
I LOVE this powder! I was hesitant at first because I never bought fanning powder before, but it was rated high on Amazon so I had to try it. I also love cardistry and hate when my decks start to clump. So my first attempt was applying it to an old Bike deck that was clumping. The results were great! The deck felt similar to when it was first opened, with a slight "drag" factor (deck fans with a little resistance compared to a sealed, untouched deck) but it definitely helps the cards from not shooting all over the place, example: doing the Fy fan. When I applied it I just did a flower fan and tapped a few times above the fan and let it fall down in between the cards. I then did a few faros and cuts, more faros and cuts, then the powder was distributed very evenly. I would suggest trying it this way before throwing the deck into a plastic bag and just shaking it to distribute the powder over the cards.

VERY Tiny container but a minutiae will make the deck shuffle and fan easy
I was surprised at how little the container is. But a very very very tiny tiny bit goes a long long way. I put a tiny bit into a water bottle cap and used a cotton swab to dab a few dots onto each individual card in a tarot deck then spread it about with a cotton ball. This worked very well to make shuffling easier with a brand new deck.

Nothing works better for smoothing out clumping cards
I use this for Tarot Cards. Nothing works better for smoothing out clumping cards. It may seem expensive, but the small bottle goes a very long way. I've used it by sprinkling a little bit in a ziplock bag throwing in four five cards at a time and shaking a bit. Take eachcard out and gently wipe with a dry paper towel, which can then be used to spread light bits of powder on two or three other cards. Once you've done a deck of cards with this, you'll swear by it forever.

Didn't make them slide like I thought it would
It was alright I guess. Didn't make them slide like I thought it would. Makes them dry on the top & bottom of your cards, you have to let air get too them again before you can use the cards good. Maybe it's just because the cards I was using were coated. I had an off brand deck of cards. They weren't anything like Bicycle cards.

Card Fanning Powder from Amazon.com
There are many products of powder used for making the fanning of playing cards smooth and consistent. Over the many years that magicians have been using various powders for fanning, many different ingredients have been used. The original and best of this type of powder was made from 100% zinc stearate. Unlike many powders with unlisted ingredients being marketed for fanning, if the label is correct, this product is 100% zinc stearate powder.Be aware that it must be applied sparingly without it dusting into the air. Use small amounts rubbed on with an absorbent cotton ball. You don't want to inhale it.It is ideal for smooth and consistent fanning of playing cards.RL, member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians

a classic, but not what I expected.
I don't do a lot of card manipulation, but I did want to learn how to fan, and I thought this would help with cheap cards. The effect is not as slippery as I had anticipated. It's more viscous, but it makes a fan of cards much smoother. Applying it by shaking a deck with some powder in a bag (as suggested by the directions) is not great. I had better success by dusting each card and spreading the powder with a finger. It took about 10 minutes.
