After suffering from high blood pressure and being referred for additional tests by my doctor, I decided to buy this Blood Pressure Monitor so that I could monitor my own blood pressure at home, as much for peace of mind than anything else.It arrived well packaged. Inside the box is the electronic blood pressure monitor, an adjustable 'cuff', a bag and instructions.It is fairly easy to set up. Unlike the blood pressure devices used by doctors that they have to pump up manually, this is all automated, making it easy for anyone to use. Instructions are included and are easy to understand. The cuff is adjustable so can be used on most people. I even successfully used it on my teenage son.The device has a memory function which is great for keeping track of blood pressure over time. It also tells you how it compares to a benchmark blood pressure so you know whether it is high or not.I was very pleased with how this product performs and its accuracy. I would definitely recommend.

Using this monitor couldn’t be simpler. I had been puzzled by lack of instructions about how to turn it on, but then with the batteries inserted it immediately lights up! It can also be powered by the mains using the USB to mini USB cable provided. The armband is comfortable enough, but does seem a bit skewed given that it is too straight a design, so does not account for the fact that your arm is slightly narrower at the elbow than the bicep. The instructions provided about how to place the armband are quite clear – I hadn’t noticed how nurses always made sure of such things. The memory holds data for 2 people, although the instructions do explain how this can also be cleared.

This was chosen specifically because of the large backlit screen, which makes it an absolute godsend for people with eye conditions such as macular degeneration or glaucoma. The screen display is big, bold and easy to read.Operating the machine requires very little expertise, a little more is required to set this up for storing the readings from two people if this is required.The readings are clearly marked for diastole and systole, and a pulse rate is also obtained. The machine gives a warning if it detects an irregular heartbeat, great for anyone prone to arrhythmias. I'm not sure if it will pick up ectopic beats as these are generally isolated runs, possibly it will.It's extremely quiet on cuff inflation, and as we've all tried it out, it hasn't inflated to be horrifically tight and uncomfortable. When I was pregnant at the hospital they put me on an automatic blood pressure machine that caused untold pain when it inflated (and my blood pressure was normal, the cuff was clearly abnormal)!The readings we've all had from the machine are in-line with what we would expect so I have very little doubt about the accuracy of this machine. It's a very good device and especially suited for our grandmothers use, replacing an antiquated Argos buy which after 15 years, was rather a lot behind the times, cumbersome, and really hard for her to use and read.The machine does require batteries, just be aware of that. Otherwise it uses a USB cable, which was as much use as a chocolate teapot for a 91 year old, without a plug! I think a USB connection is the better option for anyone planning to use this frequently though. Perhaps buy a USB wall plug if necessary.

I have had high blood pressure for a number of years now so I have always had a BP machine. My old one is the type you have to pump up yourself and it was recently calibrated at my GP surgery so I know it is still accurate. I bought this as it is easier to use as it pumps up automatically (as I now has arthritis in my wrists and hands). I tested it against my old one and it is just as accurate. It runs off either batteries or can be charged up with the cable that is included. What more can I say? It does what it is supposed to! 5 stars! The delivery was swift and aftercare really good with the sellers contacting me to make sure I was happy with my purchase and leaving contact details if I needed to get hold of them for any reason. So, all good. Really pleased with my purchase. Would highly recommend.

I bought it for my Mum who needed small, travel, mobile blood pressure monitor as her present one is a bit bulky. This one works absolutely perfect. It's very accurate, very easy to use, even for technology proof seniors. It's so easy to store and compare readings! All I had to do is the initial time and date setup. Best way is to get a AAA rechargeable batteries, so my Mum can charge it using her Kindle micro USB cable. It's also very quiet comparing with an old one. Great purchase, highly recommend!

i'm sorry to score so low. delivery was quick and item well packed. however, i took 4 readings with a break between and they were all over the place -199/110 was one of the readings!! i took a reading on my old machine and it was 140/80 which is "normal" for me. i read reviews before buying this machine, so i feel i must have got a faulty one. i returned it.

This product gives accurate readings as l checked them with those taken by doctors which flagged up issue with person's health that doctor is now sorting out. Best advice is to take one reading a day for two weeks keeping records and doing it at same time each day as then it shows clearly if blood pressure is consistently to high and if this is the case then the accurate records when past to doctor along with their test helps them to see what's going on. One test alone maybe high just because person is stressed at time but taken daily at same time over a period of time will show if this is just a rare occurrence of if you need to see a doctor. Reccomended as it's a very easy check to do but one that can give you vital early warnings about a person's health.

A good blood pressure monitor. I like that that it can be used by two people and the results are remembered. It is also useful that in the instruction book there is a table which show what results should be correct. Simple to use. Very clear results to read. Two charging options are useful. By USB cable and batteries. It is quite small so I can take it everywhere. A useful device that is worth having.
