Gift Of Love, A

Just LOVE this... absolutely love it. Plugged into my MP3 day & night listening to it over and over as I go about the "dreary daily." Would have preferred to NOT have had Deepak's teachings at the end... just the poetry... but still LOVE it. The little glitches between the track changes could be annoying if you let it be... so don't let it. I have never heard poetry read so beautifully. It is utterly lovely in content and presentation. I got this for my mom in hospital...and then bought it for myself. It is TRULY a gift of love. I can't tell you how much I LOVE this ... am IN LOVE WITH this !!! Get it for yourself and all the world!

This CD is an absolute joy to listen to! It thrills your senses. It makes your skin tingle. It opens your heart to love, brings you closer to God, the universe and all beings.Usually I buy a CD, listen to it a few times and then it sits and collects dust. But this one is different. If I have a stressful day or whatever, I come home and listen to this and in only minutes I feel the stresses of the day leave me. I feel more grounded and as a friend said, it has the ability to put you in a deep meditative state.I would rarely give any CD 5 stars, but this one rates it easily and if you are at are familiar with Rumi - you know his words are profoundly deep and touching to the human soul.Deepak, You out did yourself this time -- A Fan! I am so glad that I heard a song from this CD played on the radio on my way to work one morning which prompted me to look it up and find the CD. I was hooked from the first song and really feel the depth and breadth of the love from the poetry. Great CD. Thank you Deepak Chopra for putting this together.

When I bought this Album at the Bodi Tree book store in L.A. It was 1998 and I played it daily for the next several years. I too fell in love. Then I moved to Australia and had given all my things away including my music collection. So yes to be able to have a copy now is a gift to my own self once again. Sweetness Little Wings

This music is just amazing

This is about the 11th time I bought it, giving it away as gifts to special friends.Have listened to it for...14 years and still brings tears to my eyes and joy to my heart when I hear it.

I lost my copy and decided to purchase a replacement. One of the most spiritual CDs I have ever heard. Chopra does not disappoint as he takes us on a journey to the spiritual realm through music.

The first time I heard this CD A Gift of Love I was getting a massage and my massage therapist had it playing in the background. I immediately connected with the mystical music and the magical mantras that various artists were singing/speaking. I was on a mission to purchase this CD for myself! I looked everywhere and fortunately found in on AMAZON. I received the CD within a week of ordering it and am extremely satisfied! The only thing that could be improved upon is it could be longer. The CD itself is around 53 minutes which seems a bit short to me. Otherwise I love it.

A beautiful presentation of Rumi's poetry. Deepak's translations are contemporary and evocative and the casting of professional voices is excellent. The middle eastern style music is romantic and spiritual all at once. This will stir your heart.

How can i put what i feel about this CD into words?i am absolutely spellbound!! i have never heard anything of the likes of this. by far the best CD i have ever bought, Rumi's poetry itself is beyond this world, but the music and instruments used in this CD are perfect to accompany such sweet words of Rumi's love for God.Hazrat Inayat Khan once said "when the soul is tuned to God, every action becomes music"Rumi is a fountain of knowledge, the stream of love which poured from his heart, has been re-united and brought back, to give us a taste of the water of life, which he so eloquently spoke about."A life time without love is of no accord, love is the water of life, drink it down with heart and Soul" ~Rumi~you do not need to be a lover of music, or poetry to enjoy and gain from this cd , everyone in this world is a lover of something, and "every lover is valued according to the value of that which he loves." masnavi

Truly beautiful in every sense. The words and instrumental sounds blend together, creating a mesmerising musical journey. This is the most fulfilling and unique CD in my collection. It transports the mind and imagination to beautiful destinations as well as challenging the mind to be free and open.
