Works well
I had some problems with premises cabling as installed by Comcast. Three times, I had troubleshooters arrive, look at the cabling, and make some changes — including changing what the previous troubleshoot had done. I kept getting less-than-optimal signal strength and my Internet and streaming TV signals would drop. Anyway, I removed a splitter that one of the troubleshooters had installed in my home office, just upstream of my cable modem, and installed a high-quality cable extension adapter (VCE Gold Plated F-Type Coaxial RG6 Cable Extension Adapter) to the short length of the main cable left behind in the office and then installed a five- or six-foot length of coax cable left by Comcast between the adapter and my cable modem (the third new modem in a year). I still had the problems, so I replaced the coax cable with a six-foot length of this Philips Elite cable. I wasn't expecting much of an improvement, but I immediately had improved signal strength both downstream and upstream. None of the problems have come back and I've experienced good, stable service since. Yes, I know that simply getting the splitter out of the cable run and replacing a possibly questionable coax cable left by Comcast could account for most or all of the improvement, but I still highly recommend this cable. It's doing its part in providing great service now.

A Decent Coaxial Cable for Certain Applications
This Philips coaxial cable is pretty solid in build quality, however there are a couple things that need to be mentioned before purchasing this item that isn't mentioned anywhere in the listing. This is not a solid copper core based coaxial cable, this is in fact a copper-clad / coated steel core based coaxial cable. A coaxial cable of this type isn't inherently bad, however the use case will vary, for video and audio, this isn't the best type of cable to use based on some testing, noise is marginally noticeable when viewing television contents, especially so on a cathode-ray tube television, I tested between this cable and a dual shielded RG-6 coaxial cable with a true solid copper core, with no noise being present with the solid copper core variant at all. By no means am I saying the experience is absolutely horrible if one plans to use this for video and audio related applications, however there are certainly better coaxial cables to get the job done where this is concerned. The second thing I want to mention, black rubber rings are present inside the connectors of the cable, I'm not sure why they are there exactly, but when I tested the cable out with said rings still present in the connectors, the connection wasn't very stable. Removing the black rubber rings and testing the cable again provided much more stable results. One can safely remove such rings using a set of tweezers (best to use a fine tipped set). Upon reading some reviews from others who have used this cable, and mentioned an unstable related connection, I have a feeling that was due to them using the cable(s) with the black rubber rings still present in the connectors, so reader beware if you are scrolling and reading, simply remove them, and you will be fine.

The easy it threaded on was the best part!
I really like this coaxial cable. Threaded it onto the router extremely easy and am getting better internet speeds then I was from the old coaxial cable I was using even through a splitter!
