Very good buy for price and quality
Well to start with this is my very first digital microscope, today after having it a few weeks used it now and then just a little diy iPods and tablet fixing so I thought I put a review on so here we go I find it very useful surprisingly good quality for the price the screen is good I just find and I have to elevate the device to get a good angle off the screen, battery life excellent the image quality is perfect but the only problem I would have liked HDMI output to a monitor but that got me thinking what about the USB lead so I plug to USB into my computer and it detects it as a camera this will make such a difference but had only just found this feature today day from writing this review I would definitely highly recommend this product

High quality images
This is a really good product. Once past the inadequate "manual" (which becomes clearer after some experience of the device) it is very easy to use and the stills performance is very good. (I do not use the video capability, so cannot comment on that.) The mount is rigid when the adjustment screw is used. Fitting and removing the memory card is slightly awkward but, again, easier with practice. The focus range is excellent, and the large screen makes positioning very easy. The rechargeable battery makes the device independent of a USB connection and software, so it can be used anywhere This is an enormous improvement over the tubular USB microscopes. Recommended.

Good for close up work, although resolution could be better
I bought this as an aid in seeing Surface mount PCB's with a variable focal length which allowed enough clearance to solder the boards.I also have another camera with a higher resolution, but has limited focal length, so a comparison at comparable distances. Its a shame but despite both having the same light source this hd camera shows how lacking it is in clarity, however given the price bracket I can understand that the optics have not been considered of paramount importance. It is a good camera and screen non the less and worth the money for some types of work. I tend to use this for working and my other for Quality control.

Absolutely perfect
Having taken up watch restoring as a hobby, I have been struggling with lupes and magnifying glasses for the last moth. Orderer this very cheap microscope out od sheer separation, thinking its going to be another wasted purchase because microscopes cost 10 times the price and are difficult to work under. How wrong was I!? Received it about 2 hours ago, set it up on my work bench and am so happy with the outcome.Brilliant magnification and super easy to use. Screen is clear enough to do micro work and far enough away to have space to use tools. The sand is brilliant quality and the unit itself does not feel very robust. It does however work very well and if you do not misuse it, will serve you brilliantly.PS.Magnification is a lot stronger than expected. I now know what the sweat ducts look like on my thumb.

NO TILT!
Many people have reviewed this microscope, but I can’t see anyone talking about a big flaw with it…You cannot tilt the screen! This is a crazy oversight. It means that you can’t be “over” the thing you are working on. For example, if working on soldering a pcb, it means you have to have it pushed in front of you in order to be able to view the near-vertical screen! Maybe most people don’t find that an issue, but for me, I like to be more “looking down” upon things. It really is staggering to me that nobody seems to find this a big problem. If it had a tilt feature, then yep, it would be pretty ok for the price.

Great item
This has been a god send for me so far, I've been doing some watch repairs and I was having great difficulty seeing things with my normal glasses or even my magnifying headset. Just put whatever ya doing under this , focus in and off ya go. I use this for a lot things now. The screen is good, but let down just a little because of the angle it sits at, you find yaself sitting bent over to get in line with the screen, but for what it is, wow, the LED's are really nice and bright but also dimmerble, which is very handy when working with anything shiney. It's one of my main tools now.The view on the little screen are of the really small hands that sit underneath the viewer, not the larger ones in the middle.

Fantastic - best value
I ordered this because I already purchased one that was more than Twice the Price which came with a rather pathetic plastic stand - Avoid these. This however, comes with a really nice alloy stand that is extremely tall (compared to the plastic one) which means so much better control.I found this one to have a better image and just nicer all-round.Only bad thing about this - it uses a Mini USB cable charger, rather than a more modern Micro USB which everything else pratically uses. Also, this actually comes with a USB Plug as well, where others just come with a lead.
