Little Live Scruff-A-Luvs Plush Mystery Rescue Pet, Lilac

my Scruff a Luv is so cute. I can't forget the day I've rescued her. I expected a dog but I ended up with a beautiful kitten. if you want to get a Scruff a Luv almost as mine, you should try to wash all the glue off your Scruff a Luv before drying it and wash it gently. then, you dry it with a hairdryer in the warm settings and you dry it properly. make sure that it's completely dry from head to toe. then, you groom it with the comb provided from the set and brush the fur in a few likely directions or you would get a monster looking pet! then you give it a name(i gave myself ideas frome what color the fur is) and write it on it's collar and you fill in the certificate. if you followed these directions carefully, you would get an adorable, fluffy, sucessful pet!

They ARE called scruff-a-luvs and there for are scruffy. I am not sure what some people are expecting. For the price point they were fun I got four of them for my four kiddos they put their swimsuits on and gave them a good scrubbing in the bathtub and then blow dry. Day two there’s still a bit damp but they’re cute. The purple one looks kind of creepy in the bathtub but ended up being cuter as it dried.-My only negative is that the packaging is so ridiculously girly -Why in the world would they think a boy kid wouldn’t want one of these? I ended up getting one for my son anyways the yellow one he loves it.

The gift isn’t great by itself. The best part of the gift is the long quality time you spend with your child saving this poor pet. We spent at least 30 minutes washing, drying, brushing. Until this little cat was perfectly puffy. As my sweet 6 year old comforted this sweet stray. Saying things like “oh you poor thing you have knots must be food in your hair” “It must be nice to be out of the cold” and also when she said “I’m brushing her butt” I chuckled and she said “don’t laugh at her mom this poor girls been living on the streets” we then wrapped her up to snuggle with a movie. Best gift yet.

The experience with this is nice for the kids, teaches them imo that it doesn't have to be super cute or beautiful to love something, the whole rescue process is a very nice experience and turns a boring hour into a fun and exciting one, however I will say that they definitely don't turn out like the picture adverised but that is ok for my child she loves them anyways because she had to take the time to care for it through the whole washing drying and brushing and gives her a sense of accomplishment, also I had to take off a star because our blue one the seem ripped completely down the back, she did have that one for a while but the purple one she just got I had to sew half her arm back on after the washing process so they could have definitely done a better stitching job with these, hopefully the ones in the future will be more durable, all in all if your looking for something fun and rewarding to do with your child while stuck inside, this is definitely a good choice

This was so cute and fun to do with my 4 year old! We used blue Dawn dish soap to wash her and then took the advice from other reviews saying to brush with a wire brush while blow drying. We used our dog's brush and it definitely made a difference. My daughter brushed with the plastic brush it came with while I used the wire one. We ended up with a beautiful, super soft bunny named Allie! As long as you have a little patience it turns out great as you can see from our picture.

It is a great concept of 'adopting' a pet and comes with a form that the child can sign to adopt the pet. My daughter was very excited about this toy but then we opened it and washed it and washed it again and again hoping that it will look like the published photo... it did not, still does not. While she hasn't told me she is disappointed, it is obvious. She does play with it and carries it in her backpack, so all is not lost. I say it is overpriced for what you get.

Best scruff a luv ever! Although I recommend washing it with soap and conditioner for better results, also blow drying it will dry it much faster. If you want to see the eyes better just trim around it’s eyes, SUPER CUTE. It is scruffy but I personally think it’s cuter. It won’t be perfect if you want it not scruffy at all but I like him no matter what!

This was such a fun and cute gift! My daughter had so much fun washing and drying her purple rabbit. I recommend washing it with shampoo AND conditioner. Helped to use a leave in conditioner as well when blow drying. The little brush must be used when blow drying it. Takes a little time but in a world where children live for instant gratification, this gives them a chance to work for the cuteness. Would buy this again and again. ❤
