Good solid safe
This looks and feels like a solid piece of engineering which comes with a specified insurance rating. The only drawback is a complete lack of instructions or installation advice. It comes with bolts (for installation) which I'd never seen before. Try as I might, I couldn't get the bolts to function as I imagined they were supposed to be used, so I bought some other similar sized bolts from the local DIY store and installed the safe using them. I feel that the manufacturers have spoilt the ship for a ha'peth of tar by not providing instructions.

Nice product
A very substantial product. It had a minor problem and the company replaced it very quickly. I would have liked some instruction about the hole size and depth for the fixing bolts as I had not seen this type before.

Steel Cabinet
I bought this about a year ago because it was advertised as having a 6mm door leaf thickness. When it arrived it had a 3mm door thickness so they gave me a partial refund. The page now both states the door is 3mm and in another place 6mm. It is good for the price range (£140-180) like the B4 and Duo. There is 35kg of steel and hopefully is S2 / £4000 rated with the 3mm door. The door plate gives the classification as Steel Cabinet with a German classification number. When it was delivered the delivery is only to the door step but I offered the man £5 if he could take it upstairs so he put it on his shoulder and did so. I bolted it down.A thief trying to open the door by bashing in would have a problem with the 3mm door, stenghtened by the welded on casing for the bolt mechanism and internal rim on 3 sides and the hinge. But I am not too sure how strong the hinge is.On trying to lever the door open the bolts go 5mm behind the 3mm thick outside casing. On levering the door to the left to break the hinge and pop the bolts from behind the 5mm lip there is the protection of the greater width of the door to the right and it being up against the right hand side of the cabinet behind the outer casing. The casing for the bolt mechanism welded to the leaf gives added strength. A long lever, that a typical burglar looking for a laptop may not carry, might get in. But then no safe is impenetrable. After a few months I took a look at safes around £250 with 6mm thick doors about 45-50kg still with S2 / £4000 rating and bought one with vertical bolts, as well as the two horizontal, that go into strengthened bolt holes. Both are not fire safes but a Security Safes. Nearly killed me getting it upstairs one step at a time!
