Will this work with a 22 rifle?

I use the bore light in every gun from .22 pistol to .308 rifle. The brightness is great for all.

I defintely want the Orange one. Is there a way to request that one?

I personally think the white light is best. I would think that you could request the orange in the comments section. All they can say is it is not available.

What does this provide that any other flashlight/penlight doesn't?

if you are asking this question, than this is most probably not for you. this is mainly for firearms and frankly for most types. the optic curve on the top directs the light to the tip to shine down the barrel through ejection port. it is used inspect the rifling and cleanliness in the barrel. even small flashlight you can't place in the small opening properly to shine up the barrel. if you are a shooter and you like keep your barrel clean, this is the tool that makes it possible. the curved optic tip is more important than the flashlight it self.
