Profotoconnect 5' X 7' Collapsible Flex-out Black/White Twist Backdrop

As others experienced, my backdrop arrived with marks all over the white side. I ordered a second one and it was the same. I sprayed it with a cleaner with bleech (Tilex) and it definitely erased most of the marks. Most of the marks were caused by folding it up for packaging. In most cases, tha marks won't show up in the final picture or they can be photoshopped out.

Used this for some corporate head shots. The black side lit well and looked good in shots but I'm returning this item because the product arrived with black scuff marks all over the white side. Marks were very visible in shots unless I really blew the background out with an additional light.

I can't get it folded back up. I've used it twice and it's been sitting up in the corner ever since. It's not that it will not fold back.....I just have not figured out how to do it.

These things are notoriously hard to fold up, but once you figure it out it becomes easier. It generally takes me a couple of a tries, and use of both arms and a leg. I was hoping to find the white fabric would be nylon based, like the material on a softbox, or the white stretch - wrinkle free fabric found on some other round pop up bounce panels. However, the material ended up being a cotton, which at first is fine, its soft, low reflection material - but it has the tendency to attract hair and dirt. Otherwise, these are great for light travel to and from a photoshoot, and easier to set up than a full background set up when you don't need full body shots.

The white side was heavily marked with dark smudges. It is not possible to clean it. Realizing that since this product collapses into a small circle, and that it would not be perfectly flat when extended, the frame was warped more than it should have been. I purchased another brand that addressed these issue, and returned this product.

Good size. Using it in an antique store to block out messy background behind the product I need to shoot. Reversible.Niggles: Hard to get the knack of how to fold it back up for storage. (They have a YouTube video). Always wrinkled. Doesn't really matter if you are going to knock out the background. Hard to hold over your head. You have to prop it up or get somebody to hold it up straight.A lot cheaper and faster than setting up a whole tent or seamless.

Original post - July 14, 2013:This background is great. It is extremely heavy duty. Thought that can be a problem, as it is extremely heavy.September 2nd update:Last week I noticed it was little dirty in some spots. Being as it has never been outside or on anything dirty I thinking it came this way. Also because it is so heavy duty it can be hard to put back in its case.

Arrived just in time for a shoot; when I opened it up the white side was smudged, marked with black and ripped in several places. The carrying case was ripped in two places also. Very disappointed and put me in a pinch for my shoot as well :( Won't order from this supplier PROFOTO CONNECT) again.
