VATERRA 1/10 1972 Chevy Suburban Ascender-S 4WD Rock Crawler Brushed RTR, VTR03094

purchased this truck for my little brother while I was introducing him into the hobby of Rc’s. The truck holds its own, it’s very capable out of the box. But with some upgrading and tinkering this thing can be an absolute brute when it comes to the trails.

I purchased this along with a 2 cell LiPo battery and charger. In the week I’ve had it, it’s been through countless rollovers and a few big falls, but it’s taken the abuse like a champ.There are cheaper RTR crawlers out there, and there are certainly more expensive ones. I feel I would choose this one over and over again if I had to.The only complaint I have is the steering servo is on the weak side, but it still crawls amazingly well. Given the price, I don’t think this is enough to reduce the rating.

Ok, I'm one of these RC guys that will get a new rc and tear it down just to see if what a company claims on the box is really true. I will say, I'm shocked that it's 100% waterproofed! I've seen countless RC's claim to be and really not be. This rc is really waterproof. The servo's circuit board is conformal coated along with the receiver in the box. The box isn't water tight by no means, but it doesn't have to be when it's waterproof. There is even a little drain hole for water to drain out of it. The ESC is of course waterproof too. The other shocker was the LED lights. They might not be the brightest, but hey, there are lights on this truck. That's pretty cool for being all stock. The servo might not be the strongest servo out there, but leaving things stock on this truck shouldn't cause it to many issues for a while. I was surprised how well it handled over all. My son did awesome driving this truck and he loves his new truck! This was a great addition to our collection and well worth the money. So far we are impressed!

I love this rig. The color was way better then I had expected. Its put together very well and preformed great for the price. I would recommend purchasing a metal servo horn, and metal transmission gears right away. I have abused mine quite a bit and it handles it well.

Did not come with battery or charger even though states ready to run.

Should’ve bought from a local distributor. I like the truck but the chrome on around the grill is all rubbed off. The green paint had nice and scratches on it. I have never bought an rc that had scratches out of the box.

Update- Still running strong as the day I got it. I’m proud to own this plus I have since purchasing this Suburban have purchased many other Vattera Ascenders from there lineup. If you are hesitant on buying cause your not sure you should do it cause it definitely is the Best Buy you can get for realism and can’t leave out the performance. DO IT!!! I can’t even begin to explain how amazing this suburban is. I wasn’t to sure about the quality or anything when I bought it. I am so pleased with how well put together this RC is that I will be buying more from this company. Can’t say anything bad about this and anyone does must’ve cause they never have anything good to say anyhauser!!! Love it and thank you. I hate to say this but I broke two of my axial wraiths since I bought this and she is still holding up beautifully.

Very capable scale/trail truck. First 2 upgrades should be the tires and steering servo. Other than those it is a fantastic crawler.
