Excellent quality
I was on two minds about buying this article, because of several very negative reviews posted on Amazon concerning the product quality. I could not understand why some people gave it 5-4 starts and said the quality was great, and many others gave it a 1, calling it "crap". I am pleased to be able to say that, on the strength of having watched the first two episodes, the quality of the recording is first class. True, you sometimes see the logo of the TV channel, but this happens very seldom and is not in the least annoying. I would recommend this article to any fan of The Green Hornet ... and can only encourage reviewers to be more accurate. I mean, one can be subjective about whether one liked a programme or not, but the quality of a DVD (sound and image) is, surely, an objective measure? The article came very well packed with a very interesting booklet ... yes, the booklet is *hand made" and the DVD-Rs have no artwork, but the information and the programmes are first class. And, if this is copy-right violation, why has the supplier not been charged? Well Done!!

... reviews of this many reviewers said this was the best set available and maybe it is but I would ...
I bought this set knowing it was recorded by somebody and not a major label in reviews of this many reviewers said this was the best set available and maybe it is but I would hate to see the worst it is true picture quality is ok but on new digital tvs it shows too many flaws in quality and I was quite surprised at how little bruce lee action there actually is and even when you get some his is usually in the dark maybe one kick or two or chop and then quickly transfers over to the more boring green hornet who isn't in the dark and gets a slightly better and longer fight I do like the theme music however

Pleasantly surprised!
As a long time fan of this 60s tv series, I ordered this set knowing well that it was not a retail-level product, so I took a gamble. Well---I was pleasantly suprised at the product! Great quality of recording/transfer. No static or sound blurr---great image!---just like I remember it. Didn't give it a 5-star because the discs didn't come printed with nice series images---but other than that, this is precisely what I was looking for. The set comes with discs in individual envelopes and a fairly nice plastic storage case like the one in the picture, where you can organize each disc separatelly. If you're a true fan of the Green Hornet, I'd say you'll be glad that you ordered this set.

Almost certainly a violation of copyright
Despite the 'editorial' claims the Green Hornet TV series is not in the public domain in the US. The Green Hornet comics appear to be-at least some of them-and it's possible the Green Hornet radio serial is but the copyright for the TV series appears to be owned until 2061 by 20th Century Fox. Is this illegal? Probably-if the seller has permission from 20th Century Fox then there would be no need to claim that it's in the public domain-and very unlikely to produce 'home-made' DVDs. I threw mine away as soon as I realized what I'd bought-sooner or later 20th Century is bound to prosecute the seller and might choose to prosecute all those who bought the product. I'm not taking the chance-I prefer my products to be legal.

Crap!
I have ordered dozens of movies from Amazon over the years. This was delivered in great time and no hassles as usual with any order from Amazon. However, I was shocked to see the "Stars TV Logo", and "Advertizements" of their upcoming shows during the credits. While it's true the quality is "Not Bad"; I have a DVD Recorder and already had recorded (From Public HD TV with no commercials or ads) all the Green Hornet TV Shows for my collection. I was wanting an actual "Commercial Product"; not something I could have done a better job making on my PC with "Nero". This is definitely "Bootleg Crap", and if "Cabin Creek Trading Post" knew this, they should be "Run Out Of Business" for selling it. I'm extremely disappointed in Amazon too.

IMPROVED PICTURE QUALITY OVER THE 4 DISC DIGI-PACK
I don't know what they mean by no watermarks or logos in the description. But you can see the Action Channel logo pop up on the screen from time to time. It doesn't bother me at all. The picture quality of this set is much better than that of the Digi-pack. You don't get any of the extras the digi-pack has. But the one extra not available on the digi pack is a 5 min test pilot. This is strictly the entire Green Hornet series. Not even his Batman show appearance is here. But good news. Just click see all my reviews there is a batman dvd review. They are the ABC uncut episodes.

... this is an illegal bootleg copy but I am glad that someone impersonated me and used my credit card ...
I don't know if this series is in the public domain or if this is an illegal bootleg copy but I am glad that someone impersonated me and used my credit card to buy a copy and send it to me. It's a great series. If an official copy is released I will buy it with my new credit card....
