Disks arrived securely packaged. I bought this simple pack as the latest review of the Microsoft Flight Simulator is not very good. I had no problem installing the program following the given instructions and I have no problems with it. It's early days but so far I am very impressed with the quality and functionality of the sim.

NO. I bought this in the hope that it would replace the "SIM CITY 2000" that was suddenly ended on PC by the update rendering it "Unplayable", and rather fancied earning some Air Miles on this at least. Going through the USER GUIDANCE, loading all the discs that I would need, and then clicking on the game to start, I couldn't get the engine to start, when I finally did - by mistake - the landscape disappeared and there was no direction I could take to see any land. And, the Planes Extra Disc failed to load the plains fully without pixelating. Do yourselves a favor and give this one a miss.

Took 30 minutes to install. Would not run on my old laptop, but is a brilliant program on my desktop which has the graphics card it needs. Superb images.Best used with a joystick, which gives it a wonderfully realistic feel. Thoroughly recommended.

I thought this was good value for money when I got it as a first flight simulator. How wrong I was when it comes to the knowledge base required to get it up and running. I had to contend with trying to learn 'C' programming, I had problems trying to write script for the programme to recognise different axes of the flight controllers etc...! And now I'm so glad it only cost a tenner or so ! ( But now I also realise why. ) This flight sim software is put together by the Flightgear community and is also free, ( I always prefer to have software on disk for obvious reasons - crashes, re-installation etc. ), and I will say the Flightgear community have done a great job. Here's the 'but', had I known early on that a knowledge of 'C' or 'C++' programming etc. was essential to bringing it all together I would have gone for X-Plane a lot sooner. Be warned: If you have got a bit of knowledge of PC or laptop 'scriptwriting' this could well be for you, if not...stear clear, until one day hopefully someone with a lot of money decides to buy up this software as a going concern, and make it easily accessible for the masses like X-Plane or MS Flight Sim ! ( It has a great deal of potential but just not for my level of computing 'doodads', put another way, there isn't enough time on my hands to learn computing all over again ! I just want to get in an aircraft sim and fly...) I finally got caught out even after trying to figure out if this was for me, I'm only human I guess !

For the price this is an excellent product but purchasers should be aware that (as far as I am aware) the contents of the disks is available free of charge from the internet. What you are paying for is the convenience of not having to search and download all the various packages, with potential disconnects or missing packets. Having said that, I knew this before I bought these disks and I have not been disappointed. Loading was trouble free (apart from having to plug in an external DVD drive!) and took very little time. This is a realistic flight simulator in that it takes time to understand how to start the aircraft - unlike MS Flight Simulator it is a lot harder to just jump in and zoom off into the skies. This will not be good news for some flight simulator enthusiasts while others will revel in the additional realism of learning the skills required prior to flight. It may pay from time to time to check the internet to see if any updates (free!) have been issued for this popular and widely supported simulator

Product arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Followed the initial loading instructions contained that worked as described and automatically. The simulator fired up with no problems. Then selected three bonus aircraft from the said disk just to make sure there were no loading problems. Two of the three were successful but the F35B contained little data within the zipped folder. Will be some time before I fly as I need to add more hardware and read all the manuals to familiarise myself with all the software and control keys. Looking forward with anticipation.

Delivered quickly and in excellent condition. Downloaded onto laptop. Takes a while to download. Looks OK but probably need to download onto a better PC to get the best out of software and some time to learn how to start aircraft. Very realistic.

Unfortunately if simulator is crashing or fails to start, it would seem that your graphics card simply isn't up to the task of running this simulator which would result in these issues. My apologies but this is not the fault of the simulator, rather just a compatibility issue with your computer.
