Excellent Glass Grinder
I'm a newbie with the whole "glass cutting" experience and I've only used one other grinder that belonged to the person who is teaching me the techniques. I am very impressed with Glastar SuperStar II! It works a lot better than the one I was "training" on. Very easy to use, but I was wondering if there's an easy way to clean it and/or empty the dirty water??The instructions were kind of lame and pictures of the assembly would have really helped me since I am relatively unfamiliar with the terms/names of the parts. For example, putting in the plug for the reservoir. First I couldn't find the place to insert it, then I had trouble getting it all the way into the opening. I'm pretty sure it's not going to come out of there anytime soon! Filling it with water was confusing for me too. I know this sounds stupid but I was expecting an opening marked as the place to add the water. All in all though, it's a great tool and I'm thrilled with it.

Way To Use
Easy to read directions and easy to use. I am just starting stained glass so this a good start to an exciting hobby. It worked really well for me the first time. I am loving it. My cousin uses one and verified its durability. Another friend who has been doing stained glass for forty years has also given it high marks. So I am excited to be using it for years to come.

Good grinding for my glass mosaics. Easy to set up, easy to use.
I really like this grinder. Got it to replace an old one that still worked but was difficult to clean. It’s nice that it has a little drawer for storing bits and such. Holds quite a bit of water.

Perfect
I am so glad I purchased this grinder instead of a less expensive one! It's great quality, and does a wonderful job. I didn't realize that it would come with a small diameter "glass drill" that mounts on top of the regular grinding bit. The "drill" tool allowed me to create a piece that involved a rather tight inside corner...without adding a seam! Also, the cute little drawer in the unit allows me to store most of the accessories right there in the unit. The only thing that doesn't fit is the platform that is included for use with the "drill" tool. This one's a winner!

Good value, well built. Well worth the investment.
Easy to use, quite, nice work surface size. Like the built in tool accessory drawer. Would buy again when the need arises.

Very good for glass working
My new machine is easy to work with and to clean. It does a good job of making glass right for foiling.Recommend it highly. Would buy it again if needed.

Faulty glass grinder
When the glass grinder arrived the moment I turned it on it started to smoke . . . Now have paid postage both ways from America to Australia for a faulty grinder . . . Sorry not a good review

Missing so much!
I was really excited to get the SuperStar II due to all the good feedback that I had read. When I opened the box, I was checking out each thing that came with it. It wasn't until later when I watched a youtube video called "Stained Glass Grinder - Unboxing a Glastar Super Star II Grinder" posted on Jan 24, 2019 and was surprised to see that my box did not have any set-up information, instruction manual, information for Grinding heads, EZ-Grind grinder coolant, the smaller platform - mini table - for use on top grinder (when using the finer bits) or it's retainers. Being totally new to doing stained glass, I had no clue that I needed to add water, grinder coolant, or needed to insert a sponge behind the grinder. It's a frickin miracle that I didn't burn the thing up when I first started using it. Anyway, I would have given it a 5-star rating but due to the lack of information and accessories, it's only getting 3-stars. Shame on Glastar for not including Set-up Information and/or a User manual for new users.

A nice little grinder
If you have taken a class and used a commercial grinder then this little model will surprise - It's very compact and light weight at about 8 lbs. I was a little worried when I first opened the box because I was probably unfairly comparing it in my head to a commercial grinder I've used before. There are a couple of simple steps needed to set up and start using. I found the instructions about the set up, use, and the accessories a bit vague for a novice like myself but I worked it out with just a little effort and a touch of common sense. I have now used the grinder for about 8 hours of running time and it works great. I am pleased that the machine does not get overly hot and is not particularly loud as far as grinders go. The protective shield is easy to see through and provides basic safety though I still use protective eyewear when working with glass. This is a wet grinder but I found that it does not create much water overspray around the machine as you use it. I liked that I didn't have to put up spray protection or lay down towels to keep things dry. This also means I didn't have to set up a big work space just for the grinder.
