First strip I did puckered up so I had to redo it. It appears I got it too hot, so don't do that. It appears that "just right" was hot to the touch but I could leave my hand on it. Worked great then and looks great.

I’ve used other bandings before and never remember having so many finger joints in the other brands. Keep that in mind if you need a long piece that there will be most likely a finger joint in there.

I had never used 2 -inch edging before. I found this OK, but it is thinner than what I normally use (both 3/4” and 1 1/2”. I measured this (including adhesive) and came back with about 1/64th. My 3/4” and 1 1/2” measured 1/32”. Also be aware that there are finger joints in this. My board was about 60 inches, and had two finger joints in a run. I had to shift it and waste about 6 inches to get a full run with only one finger joint. I am using a semi-translucent finish, so fine for me, but if you are highlighting grain on your project, beware. Also, maybe related to the type or amount of adhesive, took a couple of tries in some spots to get good adhesion, but did get it to stick. Good price - good value.

For the most part, this product worked as well as any I have used in the past. However, I was surprised at the number of splices. In one instance there were three in the span of five feet! Only one splice gave a problem and didn't adhere very well. Most are nearly invisible.

I got this to make some simple rings for a solar filter. The glue is really nice and didn't take much ironing to get it to melt and stick. I really prefer this brand now over Bandit.

If you are a somewhat experienced woodworker you will find that this stuff works great. It's easy to install, couple of time back and forth with an iron (tilt one way and then the order as well to make sure the long edge gets good adhesion. Use a sanding block (with 60 grit) and sand across the edge. The glue will work as wood putty and fill in any crack between your surface and the veneer. Sand in one direction so as not to push against the glue till the glue starts to separate. Use your fingers to peel off the glue and then give it a couple of more strokes with the sanding block and your done. The result looks great. It's hard to tell that there is veneer unless you are expecting end-grain.The only issue is that it is not a continuous piece but rather spliced sections. Hopefully you don't need a piece longer than one of those sections to have a perfect job.

This maple wood veneer had a wonderful and consistent colour throughout the roll. This is important for things like natural coloured kitchen cabinets. I would definitely buy this item again .

This product has a finger joint every two to four feet. It may spoil the look of your project.

I ordered 3 rolls of 50' over a short span. 2 of them were consistent and clearly maple. One of them had awful glue that wouldn't set right and looked like birch. One of the actual maple rolls was shipped loose in a plastic mailer with no protection and suffered damage. I salvaged what I could but I would not buy here again.

Used to finish the edges of this chair/bed. Worked perfectly and really sticks good to the plywood edges.
