Joico Intensity Semi-Permanent Hair Color, Titanium, 4 Ounce

THIS IS THE ONLY GREY DYE I WILL EVER USE. I tried so many other grey dyes - they didn't work because your hair has to be the almost white for the most grey dyes in the market to work. I have thick black asian hair and bleaching it to platinum just wasn't an option.I tried it mixing it conditioner AND with the clear mixer. Using the clear mixer definitely helps for the color to fade out slower.The first shampoo is always the one that washes out the most - then gradually your hair will go ashy blonde. but NEVER brassy.I used to mix this with clear 1:1 ratio but now i do 3:1, so it goes dark at first but in 2-3 washes it fades out to a nice light grey. So i dont have to do it as often. The picture I attached next to that brassy yellow disaster is after i did it with 3:1 with the clear mixer.IF YOU HAVE PLATINUM HAIR THIS WILL GIVE YOU A BLUE TINT. it is also why this dye works on darker bleached hair on level7-8.the blue tint is prevalent. I suggest you watch as you go and wash it out as soon as you are satisfied with the color.The picture with a hat on is how it faded after 1 month.

My natural hair is very dark. I wanted to lighten it to a lighter brown by using an ashy blond dye, but it came out red/orange instead of a more pure brown. I hated the color and one of my colleagues started to call me “Red” so I knew I needed to do something. I bought a purple shampoo and hair mask, but my hair color was too dark for them to have any effect. I searched online for some answers and saw a video that said to use this Joico dye to combat brassiness in darker hair colors (like a level 3 or 4). This stuff works perfectly! I’m amazed that at how easy it is to use. I didn’t even need any developer. You just apply it to dry hair. I had gloves so I just put it straight into my hair and rubbed it in, instead of using a mixing bowl. Honestly, this is such a quick fix. I highly recommend it for anyone who has a darker hair color that wants to get of warm tones.

I am growing my grey out so have some blond with grey roots that I like to put semi-permanent color on sometimes. This titanium color is alarmingly dark out of the tube, and I don't know what it would look like by itself. I used half titanium and half clear mix with a touch of orchid to remove the blueness. I really like the result. Don't know how long it will last yet but so far very satisfied.One note: I have thick hair and often run out of color, so I dumped both the full tube of titanium and the full tube of clear into my mixing bowl. It was WAY too much. Basically twice as much as I needed. Next time I'll do half and half.

I found a video of a girl with brassy blonde/brown hair that explained how she uses this to tone her hair. I have struggled with brassy hair for years to no prevail, despite my actual hair color being very neutral. Holy mother of pearl. This is a game changer! I mix about 1/2 and 1/2 of this with conditioner and mash it into my whole head then let it sit for 30 mins or so. Any longer and my hair gains a purple tint, which I'd rather it have a slight purple color than brassiness. My hair is a light brown/dark blonde and this is a freaking holy grail product for me. I use it about once every 2 weeks, but I only wash my hair a few times a week. I have to use a kind of harsh shampoo for scalp dermatitis but I've noticed that when I use much less harsh shampoos (no sulfates, etc) the ash this product gives is much more prolonged. Definitely try it if you struggle with brassy hair that no salons can seem to fix without dying. I haven't dyed my hair in a year thanks to this, and I don't think I'll ever dye it again.

It's amazing and it smells delicious! but IT DOES DYE BLUE. I tried it the first time and accidentally mixed it with shampoo and it turned didn't do anything, it just corrected a little of the brassiness. When i did it without anything the second time it was SOOOOO BLUEEE, a beautiful shade but unacceptable for my workplace. The third time around i mixed it1:1 with conditioner and now it's the perfect silver shade i wanted. So kids, for real mix it with conditioner otherwise you'll look like a beautiful blueberry

I have medium brown hair that was balayaged to a light brown / dark blonde. My hair notoriously pulls red when dyed, and lightened pieces quickly turn red toned or coppery after toner from the salon washes out.I use this dye to tone my hair back to ash. I combine it with Ardell's un-red color additive, conditioner, and then leave it in for 20ish minutes.

It worked exactly as I hoped. Took out the brassy orange of bleached ends. I used 1:1 with conditioner and left on for 20 min.

This product is amazing for neutralizing orange/brassy tones in darker hair! I color my hair (which pulls orange, always) using Wella 6AA/542 dark blonde intense ash. The first picture is right after coloring with Wella and the second picture is after I mixed Joico with my conditioner and let it sit on my hair for about 20 minutes. Love the results!

This product totally exceeded my expectations! I bought this with the intention to use as a toner on my dirty blonde balayaged hair. I’m a natural brunette with a very dark base that tends to pull reddish/orange in the light. Many of my balayaged pieces are light enough to use toners for blonde hair on but I also have pieces that are closer to a “caramel” blonde that cannot be toned using purple shampoo or other toners from the beauty supply stores as they are not light enough for these products to be effective. This product successfully toned those orangey pieces to a more desirable ashy tone and I also applied this to my roots to get rid of the reddish undertones in my natural brown hair.I mixed about a 1:1 ratio of this product with conditioner and applied to my clean dry hair in the areas I felt needed it most, i then left it on for about 15 mins (could have used maybe 5 mins more in some areas) and rinsed out with warm water. Very happy with the results!

I used this on my darkish brown hair to tone down the redness. I tried a few strand tests and couldn't see any difference so after a bit of research online I put it on my hair (shoulder length - half a tube, straight up (I wasted the other half mixing with conditioner and leaving for 30mins. that did nothing) for one hour, with my head wrapped in clingfilm and occasional heat from a warm towel. It worked a treat. The redness was gone and my hair looked great. Then two days later I washed it... and the red was back. I know its not permanent but I had hoped it was more permanent than that.

This really helped with transition to my natural silver grey - my yellow ends are now toned silver and my hair is beautifully soft would highly recommend!

I had orange hair and this product worked amazing to tone it!I mixed half of blue Conditioner from Matrix with half of this and let it on my hair for like 20 min .I was more then happy with the results,I highly recommend it!!!
