M C G Textiles Heritage Rug Hooking Kit, 20-Inch by 27-Inch, Cobblestone Rose

The colors of the yarn are beautiful. There is no hook included so be sure to order one. The biggest problem is there is not enough yarn to complete the project. I asked for more of the Forrest Green and received a 8 pieces of different color, not the 25 I would need. I have been trying to search stores to see if I could find some yarn to use instead. I can't. It is frustrating to be excited about such a beautiful piece only to find you can't complete it.I have emailed them again (3rd time). I am hoping this resolves the issue.

I received my rug hooking kit and it appears that I have everything I need, EXCEPT a picture or diagram of the finished product. It appears that I will need to go on Amazon and pull up the picture of the rug in order to hook with the correct colors. I am new to rug hooking (this is my second rug) and it would be helpful to have a small picture of the pattern to follow.

I guess I am not "ready" for this level of latch hooking and I am pretty good at it. I should have read the contents a little more closely. It's not a canvas with blue markings to distinguish where to start, etc. and the yarn are long strands that you have to cut. I will have to "practice" more (I guess). Also, I honestly don't see how the tool can pass through the tightly woven burlap without tearing it or stretching it. I'll stick to the canvas kits. It is a shame because it is a beautiful design.

Received it quickly and it is very nice., I havent started it yet but I am looking forward to using yarn for this one. A different experience.

This was such a nice kit! FUN! But.....not enough dark green in the kit to complete the project. Found some to match in the store.

This kit turned out to be more expensive than I thought. Firstly I had to pay customs duty on it before it could be delivered and then I have found that there is not sufficient yarn in some of the colours to complete the project so I will have to buy more yarn. Although the design is pretty I wish I hadn't bought it.

Gave this as a Christmas gift, the person receiving the kit, as well as myself, were shocked with this kit. Yes the pattern was printed in burlap, suitable for a needle point, not a traditional rug latch canvas. The yarn was all placed in one clump, and not separated by colour. It was difficult for the receiver of this gift to say Thank You !!!!

I love the rug and it's colours but I ended up having to buy 2 kits because there wasn't enough yarn for me to finish it.
