I didn't purchase these ( I have 3) as drying mats. I purchased these as hot pan mats to protect my counters. I have quartz which is suppose to be the greatest but trust me there are times hot pots and lids put directly on them can leave marks. Anyway these mats are attractive and the quality is great. I can put pans directly from the stove on them. I wipe them with Lysol wipes and they clean easily. I also bought the smaller mats and use them as place mats. Highly recommend.

Somewhat hard to clean the grooves thoroughly but I still keep buying these drying mats because they look nice, easy to store, and are good for drying a variety of items.

I have a long skinny area between my sink and the window that I like to put odd and small sized items to dry. This area gets all of the morning sun so it further facilitates the drying of things. I used to have a drying board that was made of white plastic, but due to the UV rays, the plastic started to crumble. I replaced it with this mat, which I cut into 2 pieces so I have an even bigger area to set my just washed items. Yes, it's true that since it doesn't have a border, that the water can run off and onto your counter top. But I'm already in the habit of shaking off excess water prior to putting any washed item down so that's not a problem for me. On the rare occasion when my husband does wash something and place it on this mat though, that's a different story. Once the water evaporates from the mat, you can hardly see the hard water stains due to the mat being white in color. I had originally purchased the Miusco Silicone Dish Drying Mat, Grey 20" x 16", Fast Drying, Non-slip, Heat Resistant, Dishwasher Safe, for Countertops, Trivet, Sink, Pots, Pans, Glassware and Silverware, but quickly returned it when just one washed item left very visible hard water stains. I didn't see the same size mat in white until I submitted for a return of the grey one, but I'm sure glad I did!

Looks sleek at first, but there's no slant to it so the water just pools in the creases. Doesn't hold nearly as many dishes as the average drying rack. I stopped using it and went back to my old clunky rack.

I purchased these to use as sink mats to protect my new Kohler cast iron sink with a 70/30 low-saddle split, as the ribs provide a great cushion for glassware as well as prevent scratches and scuffs from utensils, pans etc. I bought 2 so the saddle would be covered as well. Being silicone, these created a non-slip surface on the saddle if I wanted to rest a pan on it to scrub.I had to cut out the holes for the drains, which wasn't a problem as the mat is easy to cut to size. I do wish I'd used my exacto knife instead of scissors, though, as the drain holes would have looked nicer. You can trim these easily to fit your sink.Not only do these do a fantastic job of protecting your sink from scratches, they wash up easily, too, either in your dishwasher or washing machine. Most days you can simply rinse them off. They have not torn around any of the hand cut areas during use or going through the wash cycles in a machine. VERY sturdy mats.

Works fine as a dish drying rack except that water runs off sides onto your counter. Every little thing leaves water marks and other things on it, so it almost always looks dirty. Difficult to wash because of all the grooves. Too big to fit successfully in the dishwasher with other items and folds over itself inside the dishwasher so it doesn't wash up well. Takes forever to dry, so you always have a semi-dirty, water and liquid stained wet rack on your countertop. Would not recommend.

I ordered this mat to cover my new toaster oven, since I was concerned my kids or others would bump the side of it and burn themselves. Kohler makes a similar product, but they didn't offer one large enough to help, so I was glad to see this one in the large size, which I ordered in the white.Because it is corrugated, the extra length drapes nicely over the side of the toaster oven. I placed it flush with one side and it hangs about 4 inches down the left, where protection is needed, and it does not seem like it will slide off.I like that it has channels, since I was concerned that heat might build up and damage the elements if I covered with a solid silicone mat.The large size was too wide for my toaster oven (extra length was necessary, but extra width would be in the way), so I marked the width on the mat and was delighted that it cut easily with standard scissors! I thought I was going to need to struggle with a utility knife.
