Fantastic product which we use at work and much cheaper than the standard industrial ones. Make sure you reset it regularly to keep it accurate on a known flat surface (when we are out and about we use our mobile phone screen). You will need a specific holder depending on the job - we use nylon blocks sitting around the main axle with a grub screw makes it usable in more applications. So good we bought x3 more

Just got it and right out of the box screen is on with random parts of the numbers, buttons not responding. I popped the battery out and checked the voltage 1.1V where it supposed to be 1.5V. Replaced with a new one and works great, I did not check for precision yet, I will update if there is anything wrong with that. So in conclusion DON'T pre install batteries in devices that might turn on in a box, or just don't pre install period because electronics without physical disconnect switch will have parasitic drain. Overall good indicator probe, stupid decision about battery.

I bought this to measure run out when fitting my new rear discs on an MG ZT 190 SE. I'd recommend that no-one tries to fit new discs without one of these to check the run out is within workshop manual specs. It's also cheap enough for a DIYer like me. When I fitted the new discs, the gauge informed me they were still 'out'. Very interesting to use it and realise how much care is needed to do the job correctly. Highly recommended for disc run out testing, but you also need a magnetic or other holder. I bought the Draper one which worked very well for me.

This item came with a dead / leaking battery pre-installed inside it (top-left flap). There was no pull-tab or anything stopping the battery connection and I guess it got turned on sometime after manufacture. I cleaned the contacts and surrounding surface with some thin cotton swabs & isopropyl alcohol and tried it with a new battery and it still seems to work. It seems accurate enough for my needs (at the moment). There is a little "slop" in the first 0.1mm so I'd suggest giving it a starting distance and then using the "zero" button. The front and back faces are plastic, but the centre ring containing the probe, spring & circuitry is metal. The only "clamping" place seems to be the metal "pole" that the probe comes out out at the bottom. There are no threaded holes, etc.

Good product quickly delivered, i purchased this to replace a mechanical dial indicator which had failed and use with my lathe and to level the bed on a 3D printer. The product appears well made and accurate.

No a very poor item. Not functionally the best all 3 turn off automatically after 3mins and 56 secs very disappointing , but I guess you get what you pay for

Came with x2 Lr44 batteries and both where dead , had to buy some new batteries- works fine now , can the seller contact me Apart from from battery issue , nice bit of kit for my wheel truing stand

Accuracy seems okay. Careful when using it as jolting the moving probe can cause it to suddenly offset itself by 2.54mm. Presumably the actual measurement is being done in inches and being converted if you need mm display. Comes with a grey plastic locking case, alternate backplate, preinstalled battery and instruction booklet. There is a RS232 port on the body which needs a special cable that needs to be bought separately.

Great tool, I use it as a depth guage. Best feature is that it holds the zero setting you give it, even after it has been turned off. Very happy. I have bought a second one for specialty checks.

Es un reloj comparador con buena estética, de buenos materiales, funciona bien, me saca de apuros ya que hace lo que tiene que hacer, pero tiene un defecto ya que en ocasiones cuesta trabajo ponerlo en ceros. Si tú le aprietas el boton de cero en la pantalla se observará -0.01 o 0.01 o .o2 y hasta despues de 3 a 4 intentos ya te aparece 0.00.
