Excellent Cooler
I bought this specifically for the size. It held ice in the desert for 6+ days on a multi-day raft trip. Very pleased with the Cooler and look forward to using it all summer.

Good stuff
We’ve got a serious heat wave here in LA, so I took the opportunity to test it out.Day 1: A record breaking 108 degrees at 2:00 pm, on the sunniest spot on my patio. Added 10 lbs of reusable ice pack and a cup of water, no pre-cooling of cooler.Day 2: 100 degrees at 2:00 PM. Ice packs are about 1/2 melted, water is 46 degrees.Day 3: 10:00 AM - Ice packs are melted but cool, water is 55 degrees. So this is just testing it with what I had on hand. For 3 days in similar extreme conditions for spoilable food, I’d think about 30 lbs of ice or ice packs, which would take up about 1/2 the cooler, would be fine. The seal is good, the overall design is simple and smart, and the price is reasonable for this kind of cooler right now. I recommend!

Excellent Quality
I would favorably compare this item to Yeti and at a much more affordable price. Has been used primarily for keeping food items refrigerated between food store and home. Haven't used it on an extended basis so I can't vouch for the claims on how long ice will last. The only thing I'm not especially fond of are the "rope" handles but that's a small price to pay for an excellent, affordable cooler.

Not so much on ice retention.
I bought two of these in July. Before our first usage, I "pre-cooled" as suggested. Placed cold beverage bottles in each and filled with 20lb bags of ice. In TWO days the ice was half water. Four days all I had was cold water. For our long five day trip, I pre-cooled again with blocks of ice. After our five days, we came back with most of the ice melted in one cooler and maybe a third of the ice left in the second. Not what I expected for the price I paid. The Coleman Xtremes did way better! In addition to the less than expected life of the ice, the coolers are heavy. Plus the weight of full beverage bottles and the ice, it was difficult to lift and maneuver then in the back of the truck and in camp. If I didn't dislike returning things, I would do so but I can use them for backyard parties that only last a day or two.

... spend this much on a cooler but I am happy to decided to
I was hesitant to spend this much on a cooler but I am happy to decided to. On a recent camping trip my friends had to go to the store for ice refills on day 2, this cooler was still going strong till day 4. Very happy with this purchase.

Worth every cent.
Amazing cooler. It kept food cold on 2 gallons of ice for over 48 hours. There was still a wee bit of ice left when we emptied out the cooler, too. Well worth the money.
