Quality at a good price
Bought this for my NVG30. For the price, it is awesome. Very bright. With the unaided eye, you can see just a VERY SMALL red glow if you hold it up to your eye and look directly into it. Otherwise it is totally invisible.Quality seems really good.

Excellent indoor light FOR THE MONEY
For under $20, you really can't complain about this light for indoor use for just playing around and testing a NV optic. It isn't going to be great outdoors and doesn't have much range. It isn't a Surefire or a Streamlight, so don't expect it to endure any rough use. It's exactly what I would expect for a flashlight that costs less than $20. You can also see the LED glowing red with your naked eye, so it probably has a pretty wide spectrum of light. 940nm is likely just the nominal wavelength.

This light is actually somewhere around 940nm
I threw a 980nm bandpass filter on this and it throws a ton of light compared to my 840nm illuminator. Works well with my nvg30. I 3d printed a little adapter to center the filter that I bought and it works amazingly well. Also great that this thing takes 18650s.

Well, it works…
Didn’t expect much from a $20 IR light but this one still disappoints. It’s neither bright nor does it reach very far. Which is disappointing considering it uses an 18650 battery. Overall I think even in here there’s better options for $20.

Excellent for price
Great IR light for the price. It has a barely visible red glow from the diode when on, but no visible light otherwise. Adjustable beam works well but has a square shape to it, not round like other flashlights. Very bright. When beam it tight, I can see objects 200+ meters away with pvs14's. For the price, it cant be beat.

Works fine
Simple design, and simply works. I accidentally dropped it on ground and I can barely see any mark of that. I love the design of the visible red dot on the light so that I can tell if it is on or not. This design can prevent from battery waste. This is a infrared light which is not visible. I used my night vision goggle with it and it works pretty good, light up the area well. It worth the price, will update on battery life.

Not what I was hoping for
Its a neat party trick to have a "flashlight" that no one can see with their naked eye but through your phone camera see perfectly. I was hoping to use this to film in the dark but the IR light was never strong enough to go more than a few feet. I used a few different power sources but never got to what was advertised. Its still a cool toy but never will work to the capability of being able to take pictures in the dark of a room or outside

Really lights up an are, but gets very warm on continuous use
This IR flashlight really lights up an area. I was using a Relohas mini camera which has so so short range night vision (940nm) and this IR flashlight really makes a big difference in range and intensity the camera can see. I use the flashlight on the fully zoomed out position for my application. See the attached pictures for the difference between with and without. All shot in complete darkness and with flashlight fully zoomed out for wide angle. The first two are with the camera and flashlight both approx 10 ft from the wall it is illuminating, The third and forth are in a basement where the camera and flashlight are approx 25 ft from the very back wall it is illuminating and 3.5 ft from the first chair. Flashlight stayed lit continuously for 1hr 10min on a fully recharged UltraFire 4000mAh 18650 battery before cutting out. Flashlight does get very warm to the touch if you leave it on for more than 5 minutes (and its not the battery but the flashlight body that's heating up). I measured it at 110 deg F with a thermal gun although it felt hotter than that.
