Definitely worth the investment for me
I purchased a Kindle Voyage in October 2017 and also bought a two year squaretrade plan with accident protection. I dropped my very first Kindle a few years ago and hadn’t bought a protection plan, so this time I knew better. On May 18th 2018, something fell on my Voyage and completely cracked the screen. I called Squaretrade right away and within minutes they had verified my information and promised I’d receive a replacement Kindle in two days. Later that day (Friday) I received a message from Amazon saying my Voyage had been mailed and would arrive on Tuesday (more than two days because I live in Hawaii). Happily, my Voyage was in my mailbox by Monday afternoon. I can’t say enough about how much peace of mind having this protection plan gave me. Considering I only paid about $20 for two years, it is definitely worth the price if something goes wrong and under this plan you can receive up to three replacements. Dealing with Squaretrade customer service was easy and quick. All they needed was my address verification and the serial number of my Voyage and I was done. Considering the price of the Kindle Voyage ($199), I definitely recommend this protection plan from Squaretrade. It’s nice to think nothing bad will happen to your Kindle, but I rather pay $20 now than shell out another $199 because of an accident.

More real books please.
I have very mixed feelings about everything which is "Amazon". In this specific case the protection plan turned out to be sort of redundant, as the Kindle works well. I still love real books, and real book sellers. This is the only reason I am giving it 4 stars.

It does cover the Kindle voyage 3g! :)
Okay here's the deal.First off I had no idea that they don't send a paper copy of the insurance. I think this is unless you ask for one? I honestly complained because I was expecting something through the mail, and when I complained they apologized and explained that the insurance is "digital". But, without asking and after hearing my complaint they sent me and paper copy. I was happy about that. :)Very cool of them.Another thing is that I don't know why I saw comments stating that this doesn't cover the Kindle voyage with 3g... because they certainly covered mine. My Kindle was physically damaged in my luggage. All I did was call Kindle customer support up and explained that mine was physically damaged. Immediately they sent me one out that day and I received it the next day. (So awesome) I did send back the damaged one wi h the same box the new Kindle arrived in. They also explained that it (broken kindle) needed to be sent out within 7 days of receiving the new kindle.I'm very happy about this insurance.

Works for Voyage purchased at Best Buy
I bought my Voyage at Best Buy and warranty attached automatically on Amazon. I have had my Voyage registered with Amazon for a few days and decided to buy this warranty through Amazon. Square Trade indicated on their website this was possible. I purchased the warranty yesterday from Amazon and today in the Manage Kindle Devices section under the Voyage actions area I had a message asking if I wanted to apply this warranty to my device. I simply clicked yes and got a confirmation. Very nice.This is a much better price than other extended warranties. As for how well this specific warranty functions, I can't say at this time, but I have had other Square Trade warranties and those I have made a claim have performed just as stated.

I have been using protection plans for years. I have had both Square Trade and Asurion. Of those 3 that I have had personal experiences with Amazon is the worst. Recently their customer service spends a large portion of their time transferring you to get you to the right person causing the claims process to be time consuming. With other companies like Square Trade and Asurion you have the option to get a check for the price of the product instead of the replacement. You do not have those kind of options through the Kindle protection plan. Instead you get a refurbished kindle that is only covered under this protection plan until the end of the time frame of the original purchase. I don't buy protection plans intending to only have use of them for 2 years and then be out of luck after that. Overall this falls short of the competitors in both experience and coverage.

I have been appreciative of the service from Square Trade for the three-year Protection Plan. I bought the Kindle Voyage for my grand daughterwho is in college (just in case,). I goofed and hit the twice button so had to call and cancel one policy. No problem, refund would be taken care ofwithin the week and the refund would appear on my bill. I was also to expect notification on my e-mail. Anyways, that didn't happen and it was stillon my bill. I have called again and assured that there was a glitch and that the refund would be taken care of and I would be notified. I have notcalled to check on my next month's charge bill, but have received my e-mail notice and expect my refund.

Amazon has stellar protection plans
I read the details and this is an amazing protection plan. You can get up to 3 replacements for the lifetime of the policy which is insane. If you break 3 kindles thays nuts and amazon would have to be losing some money then.Also, free return of the defective one and 2 day shipping a new one right out.And what blows my mind most of all is you can cancel the plan anytime, even if you have used it. They just refund the remaining months back to you.That is what my policy said for my protection plan on the kindle voyage!

Totally worth it! Extremely easy - great customer support!
This is sooo worth it! And the process of getting a new one was super easy! Quick and painless! I called the number and less than 5 minutes later, they had a kindle shipping to me. I highly recommend getting this if you have a Voyage. The screen is extremely delicate. It's really light, so it slipped off my lap and landed on the concrete (I was sitting outside). Screen was ruined. AMAZON, you are awesome :)
