Since I have automated the opening and closing of my garage door, as well as having Hue lights installed as well, I needed to install an echo dot in a location where it could easily pick up voice commands.Installing the dot was not an issue. I wanted the install to look somewhat professional without just having it placed anywhere with a long cord attached.This MTSmart Outlet Wall Mount does the trick perfectly. It places your dot in an all-in-mount that plugs into your wall socket.You will see by the photo I have provided that it looks very good once mounted in the kit against a wall.There are two small issues, however...First, the directions on the box are not very good. Not that it takes a rocket scientist to figure out how to install the dot into the mount, but I really had to sit and stare at the directions and then the mount for several minutes to figure out that something was missing from the tutorial. One has to remove the plastic backing to insert the dot and the power adapter. Again, with a little time, anyone can figure it out -- but certainly not from the instructions on the box.Secondly, though the mount does free up the plug beneath it, it's by a very slim margin. If the secondary device you are going to stick into the socket has a slim plug you will be okay. Anything large and you will be out of luck.I am happy with the way this looks and functions. It's a really neat way to mount your echo in a fashion that it looks neat and professional. It does not hinder voice control.

I didn't have any surface I could put it on next to my outlet so I finally pulled the plug and got this. So happy I did.

This is the second one I own. The first one works great in our garage, and this one now freed up some space on the kitchen counter.

Very easy to install, looks good. Is especially helpful because my two year old son liked pulling on the cord and knocking the Dot off the shelf it was on.
