Best fill valve out there.
Best fill valve out there. You can service this valve with one arm tied behind your back. I have three in my home. They are all over 15 years old and the only thing that has leaked is the 2 inch wide diaphragm. It's just a flat piece of round thin rubber that I could not find in any local hardware store. Any way it had a small pinhole in it and after sitting in my garage and thinking about it I cleaned the diaphragm with some pure rubbing alcohol. I looked in my tool box and found and applied a 3/4" x 3/4" square piece of bicycle inner tube patch using the rubber cement included in the kit. I compressed the repaired diaphragm between two small wooden boards in a shop vice. A couple of hours later I installed the diaphragm and its been working fine for a couple of months and it looks like it might go another 15 years. They sell the repair kit but it costs more than a new valve...

10 minutes to install, but watch the instruction videos on YouTube first. They really help
My toilet tank started leaking, and after a few searches I found some great instructional video showing what the problem was (the Ballcock/Fill Valve) and how to fix it. My local hardware store didn’t carry the Mansfield replacement parts so I purchased the store brand. Bad move. The thing just wouldn’t fit! I finally gave up and ordered an exact Mansfield replacement part for the 15 year old one in my tank. Perfect fit. It took about 10 minutes to install the new one.So if you have a Mansfield toilet save yourself some time and money and just order the correct replacement part. Also watch the great videos on YouTube. They explain the process simply and with enough detail that anyone can do it.

Good replacement for standard toilet fill valve
Good replacement for standard toilet fill valve. It is difficult to find 11" tall fill plastic diaphragm type valves. Even though this valve is 12", it fit in my fill tank with no issues. The installation was easy and typical for this type of valve. One other note, is that the valve is louder than most and a little slow to fill the tank. Good valve, especially for $10.

Works!
Just exactly like the one it replaced. First time changing one of these and I had it done in 10 minutes. The directions provided were ok. Although I had to re-read one area a few times to make sure I had the right part. But it was pretty easy to figure out. But as for the part itself. It came with everything I needed. I doesn't have a float but comes with a new float stem that you screw the float on to. My old float was fine, however, I did replace the stem. Now the toilet works great once more.

Drop in replacement
Ok so maybe it takes a bit more than dropping in, but with decent mechanical know how it's a cinch to replace and the instructions are clear. The valve has good action with quick close and easy to adjust. Worked great in my model 160

?seals don't work if wet?
I unscrewed the top to see what the seals looked like and they accidentally fell into the toilet. I put them back in, screwed the top and easily installed the fill valve. It kept leaking from the top where I had unscrewed to look at the seals. I tightened it but it didn't help. It filled fine but water kept gurgling out from the top. Finally I decided to look at the seals again. They were wet so I dried them off and the inside where they were seated I also dried off. Then I replaced the seals and screwed the top back on. Never leaked again. Fills nicely and no more problems. I wouldl buy again but don't unscrew the top unless you really need to look at the black seals.
