Hamans Outdoor Gas Refill Adapter Filling Butane Canister

Worked perfectly for my use. Refilled a number of MSR 4oz and 8oz canisters to maximum capacity (13.1oz & 7.4oz gross weight) with less expensive-$1.95 8oz butane/propane mix cans from REI. Be sure to place the empty canister in the freezer for 20 minutes and the full can in warm water for 20 minutes prior to the transfer. I worked right on top of a small electronic scale so I could check weight of the lower canister every few seconds as to not over or under fill. Transfer takes less than a minute. You may need to return donor can to warm water and receiving canister to freezer for a few minutes to get every last drop out.

I bought this to refill backpacking stove fuel canisters from inexpensive butane canisters. I'm using a food scale to monitor the refill amount so as not to overfill the stove canister. This works as described and the refill process is very straightforward. This means I can usually get away with taking a single small size stove canister because I know I've always got a full one. No waste, no worry. I definitely recommend this refill adapter.

This did NOT work using a new canister of Coleman Butane fuel. I bought another type of filler devise that worked like a charm!

The adapter works as advertised. There is a bit of gas dispersal if the output and input canisters are not held in perfect alignment so this usage requires concentration and consistent pressure to keep the joints sealed during gas transfer.

Worked amazing! I froze the canister for a day. This adapter made the refill a breeze. Just freeze the receiving canister for a while i say a day or more that way the liquid flows more easily, put the adapter in place and start refilling. Youll hear the canister filling up. I tried using the tios that came with the butaine but this adapter works 100000x better. Trust me youll want this in your kit!!!

I thought it was kind of expensive for what it is, but it seemed to be reasonably high quality.

Ich hatte anfänglich Probleme beim Befüllen meiner 100g Kartusche. Trotz kühlen der zu befüllenden Kartusche tat sich nichts.Beim genaueren hinsehen, fiel mir auf, dass der Dichtring im oberen Teil (der Teil, in den die füllende Kartusche kommt) recht klein ist. Das Problem bei mir war, dass durch das Eindrücken der Kartusche der Durchfluss verschlossen wurde, weil der Dichtring zu stark komprimiert wurde.Ich habe dann den oberen Dichtring entfernt und es funktionierte tadellos.Kurze Anleitung:- Gewicht einer vollen Kartusche notieren- zu befüllende Kartusche ins Gefrierfach für etwa eine Stunde- die andere Kartusche sollte zimmerwarm sein- oberen Dichtring aus dem Adapter entfernen- füllen und immer wieder das Gewicht der zu befüllenden Kartusche prüfenDas Gewicht darf das einer neuen Kartusche nicht überschreiten! Lieber etwas darunter bleiben.

The product is ok and does its work, although you have to hold the cans real tight to avoid any leakage. But the problem here is the price, the actual price is around ₹50 and amazon is selling it for ₹575, that's around ten to twelve times the price.

Adapter funktioniert perfekt, Fülle reines Butan aus billigen MSF-1A in meine Schraubkartuschen EN417. Am besten die Leere Schraubkartusche kurz in die Gefriertruhe damit sie kalt ist und die MSF-1A kurz unter warmes Wasser halten, dann funktioniert es noch schneller:-) und vorher leer Gewicht der Schraubkartusche mit Edding drauf schreiben damit man immer gucken kann was sie nun wiegen sollte, einfach TOP
