This is a great vac!
this vacuum is great for my purposes. Initially I wanted it to be able clean the garage more often without bugs and dust from sweeping. I can easily reach the car when it's in the driveway eliminating the tightness of doors, etc. the bonus is that the 50 foot hose actually reaches all my first floor rooms except one bedroom and the porch. I have it mounted on the garage wall just near the garage/interior door. the hose does not damage the house as it drags, the hose if very flexible and light. no need to switch plugs and carry my canister vac from room to room. not sure I would clean with every time but it sure is a great option. The hose even reached up the stairs easily so that I could vac the staircase with the large or small nozzle. I love the fact that the nozzles have good quality brushes. that is huge to me. the standard shop vacs don't have any brushes. If I wanted to do the whole house I could simply remove it from the bracket and carry it in to be used as a whole house vac system. I chose not to put a full house vac system in my townhouse because having used it in another home I found the hose too bulky and hard to drag from room to room. this hose is smaller, light weight and moves easily throughout the house. it does not damage doors or walls. Another feature; if you use as a whole house vac you don't hear the vac noise while in the house and could even hear the phone if it rang. I has more accessories that I expected. I researched every vac on line making comps, etc. I was a little leery of this while waiting for it because it sounded too good to be true. I am very happy with it after only one house and garage cleaning. And the best thing, it's made in the USA!!! Another good thing is that is has a bag as opposed to most vacs not which are bagless. Bagless, if you don't know is very messy and dusty to clean. It is also easy to install and will be to remove when full. This tank and bag are large and will probably take a year to fill the bag. The vac was very easy to install on the garage wall (find the studs) or you could just let it sit on the floor. I wouldn't recommend that. there is great hose rack to keep the hose clean and neat. Sorry I'm jumping around but I keep thinking of things that I like. It comes with a large mesh bag to keep the parts in. I hung it on a hook next to the hose. Nothing interferes with my car, etc. And it has a blower but I have not used it. My guess is that might not be really powerful but would do the trick for leaves on the porch or sand on the driveway. I don't know the makers and never even knew there was such a vac on the market. I hope this helps you making your decision. BunwarmersOnly one con is the floor wand is light weight and therefore you cannot put too much weight on it while doing rugs. works ok on tile and wood.

A Very Good Value
I am quite critical when it comes to product selection. Overall, this has been an excellent purchase. The 50 Ft hose length, flexibility of the hose, and toughness of the hose is good. The unit is built very well, is quiet, and in my opinion, has excellent suction. The attachment section of the hose is lightweight plastic, and appears up to this point to be durable. The "suction" reducer port on the top of the attachment section tends to open unnoticed - I think that could be improved. The floor attachment, which is similar to that which would be used inside a home, is made well, but seems to pull debris backward on the back stroke rather than sucking it up - I think this is another area for improvement. I have a relative that has the Hoover, but that product comes with a shorter hose length, 30 ft for that particular unit. The instructions for assembly are very basic, so fortunately, it is relatively obvious how to put the system together, and there is not much that you will need to assemble. I do not recall seeing in the instructions that the attachment section extends, but discovered that on my own. My garage faces west, so it constantly gets debris and leaves blown into it. The vacuum makes quick work of the leaves and any dirt that is tracked in through the tire treads of lawn/garden equipment. I like the flexibility of the hose which is especially nice for vacuuming automotive interiors. A very good investment that I wish I had done years ago.

It Certainly Does Suck!
I'm sure we have all been there: new car, small child, and graham crackers. Sure enough, what should have been an innocuous, wholesome visit to the local Christmas light neighborhood soon became a horror of crumbs, headless Teddy Graham bears, and various other food objects that somehow made it into the car unnoticed. Before even the first Inflatable Lawn Santa was spotted, the backseat of my otherwise pristine sedan was a minefield of processed fiber. Trying to remove the car seat later that night only made things worse, of course, as I slowly ground the crumbs into a fine sandy mash. What was I to do? The backseat of my car looked like the beach threw up all over my fine cloth upholstery.Enter the VacuMaid GV50! Sporting an incredibly powerful vacuum mechanism and a long hose attachment, not only was I able to remove the offending particles, it even grabbed other various entities that I had no idea were even in the car. Cat hair? Gone! Kid hair? Gone! Loose change? Gone! The VacuMaid GV50 was a machine of suction satisfaction, restoring my car to an extremely presentable transportation vehicle for the next time my extremely discerning, though otherwise plastered, friends needed a ride home from the local bar. They had no idea that less than 24 hours beforehand the very seats they were now occupying were previously the property of a 3-year-old and her evening snack.Mounted in the garage, this vacuum is an electric behemoth, frightened by no mess or spill. The next time I make a brilliant decision to allow a toddler into my car with an entire bag of wholesome crackers, I'll do so knowing that I have the VacuMaid GV50 at my side, ready to defend the honor of my sedan, and restore it to a state of abundant class.
