Great product, works awesome!!
I put this on my 36' King of the Road so I could pull it with the gooseneck hitch in my truck. It was easy to install at the dealer with the included hardware for the short trip home. The coupler is easy to connect and release, and the spring loaded feature works as it should. Once home, I installed four 1/2" bolts in the provided corner holes for a more secure attachment. It's now pretty much theft proof, and semi-perminent, and quite a bit stronger most likely.I did notice a small amount of "bucking", which may be induced by the extended connection being a tiny bit flexible. That was pre-corner bolts, so I'm sure the corner bolts may have reduced that flex. Every gooseneck I've ever pulled exhibited the same bucking though, so it may just be the nature of a gooseneck hitch. As for strength, I'm told King of the Road didn't use the industry standard Lippert frames, but rather made their own. I found a posting by one of their engineers saying that their frame is HD enough that using a GN adapter would not be a problem.I'm towing with a standard pickup, not a med duty truck. I think the larger, heaver, and harsher riding medium duty trucks put more stress into the hitch than a lighter, softer sprung pickup. I also don't to the RV around much, as it is our full time residence, so it's not likely to accumulate many miles.

It was easy to connect to Camper
Only one problem at first. It says it has auto latch to hook up to. But the first time it did not. I think it will now. Maybe it was the paint. Anyway. I was very happy with the price and quality of the product. I recommend it to anyone.

The product lives up to the manufacture’s expectations!
A good quality heavy duty conversion from fifth wheel camper to gooseneck camper. Very easy to install with simple instructions and four bolts.

Made well! Made strong! Need different bolts and nuts.
Ordered this adapter for our Columbus fifth wheel 385BH Towing with a 2014 dodge 3500 long bed. Came in quickly. Built very well. Nice to have the wrench. Only problems we ran through was that the bolts were metric and the nuts standard so they did not work with each other. We also purchased shorter bolts that had no neck on them. Our fifth wheel had no access point so we did have to purchase a 1 1/2” circular bit so we could have accesses to the nuts. Be sure to have a wrench that fits the nuts (it makes tightening everything down much easier.) The caps that are provided needed some super glue to keep them inside the holes that were drilled out. Instructions were good and should be as followed. Wish there was a better way so we did not have to cut 4 holes in the fifth wheel but caps look clean. Make sure to have a strong 9/16” bit to get through the steel. And don’t cheap out on the 1 1/2” circular bit. Lee the drill on low mode to not ruin the teeth.

Works wonders
Drilling the holes took some time and effort on the trailer side.Love the ease of use. I missed the hole thinking it was closer to the trailer. I pushed on my trailer and it fell into place. Locked itself. Placed pin in retainer and good to go.(BE CAREFUL IF YOU DO THIS! My trailer was chocked they only allow about 1/2 inch of movement. I also had cement blocks next to my jacks just in case, and my trailer was empty) it is much safer to move the truck.

Flatbed with recessed ball
I have a CM flatbed with a recessed goosneck ball. This was the perfect choice as the 5th wheel measured 48" from the ground and the bed is 40" high, the 12" adaptor made the trailer level. When using a torque wrench to tighten the main nut you have to use a crows foot as there is limited room to get a 1-5/8" socket in the space available. The supplied wrench is useable but not for getting the required torque. I used a drill and tapped the king pin plate and used lock tight to secure the four supplied grade 8 bolts. The rig tows nicely, adaptor is rated for 30k lbs my rig is 12,500 gvw.

This product is fantastic
I installed this on a 5th wheel gooseneck attachment for my trailer. It fit perfect, it has held up with heavy use without issue. The middle collar and 4 bolts hold it very steady and show no signs of loosening. This attachment saved me a lot of money compared to buying a whole new 5th wheel attachment. It was tricky at first to figure out that you had to leave the lever in the locked position to attach it to the ball of the truck. We figured that out after it didn't go on. Just read the instructions. It's a solid unit.
