Can't recommend. The shipping box was too big which caused the chair to bump around and destroy the box, the seat back bolsters are uneven. 3in thick on one side 2in thick on the other. The seat back was also crooked. Leaning about 7 degrees to one side and the casters all squeak. The seat itself is comfortable, the tilt functions are good.Overall probably a good chair with a correctly manufactured seat back, even cushioning and silent casters but for $400, I don't think you're getting the best for your dollar.

I have some moderate back pain issues and like chairs that allow movement throughout the day in different positions. I have looked far and wide for a comfortable chair. I tried some of the fancy looking cheaper chairs, but even those that all have "ergo" tilt is not very adjustable. These fancy chairs just go back or forward with no real adjustments except maybe lumbar support. Or the padding is extremely thin. So in the end I wanted a simple office chair that is basic but adjustable with thick padding. This chair doesn't look fancy but the controls are all there and you can tilt the chair forward or back, and lock the back angle for rocking too. My only complaint is that the tilt angle lock is kinda wimpy and by leaning back you can disengage the lock mechanism pretty easily. It's probably a defect but if I go easy, its not a problem. And again, I tend to keep it unlocked most of the time. Regardless, this chair allows rocking and the padding is substantial. I'm pretty heavy male (6', 210 lbs) so I need something stout that is comfortable. This chair is one of the few that has all the adjustments and has decent padding. For a job where I sit for 4-6 hours per day, it works well. Those cheaper adjustable chairs simply don't have padding so they hurt your seat or back after a little while. Try this one - it's pretty dang good and valuable for the money. On the health side: this chair does not contain toxic fire retardant chemicals (which it doesn't need), and is Greenguard certified so has low odor & smell. A good solid comfy chair.

Really disappointed. I am 5’7” and this chair is definitely not made for me. It is MUCH larger than it looks. There is also no lumbar support at all. You can tell this from the pictures, but don’t be fooled - unless you have an above-average size body, your lower back will fall into the bottom cavity regardless of how far back you sit.Material, foams, and adjustability are great, but considering the size and lack of support this actively gives me back pain. It looks and feels just like a chair from my office that I love, but this is much, much larger... maybe 2x the size.

It is very comfortable. The cushioning is thick, on both the seat and the back. Has all the basics you want in an office chair. But it massively fails in the control options.Despite saying "Back Angle Adjustment" in the details depicting the item it really, really, fails on the control options. You can in fact adjust the back angle but only if you completely angle the entire chair including the seat. You cannot adjust the back angle alone. What an insanely dumb design. I would have never bought the chair knowing this.I find sitting straight up military style very uncomfortable. I always want a little backwards tilt (but just the back not the seat along with it!) If you like sitting bolted straight upright I recommend this chair 4/5 stars, if you want some backwards tilt this chair is not for you. It's a shame because now I either have to deal this flaw or embrace the long hard hell of amazon returns on a large assembled item.

Back cushion too thick and sticks out over the seat portion of chair and back support will not adjust forward/backward. Chair made my back sore after 2-3 hours time. Cushions are very thick but were too hard for me. I am 6 foot, 180 lbs. and chair just felt hard. It is structurally a very well made chair, physically easy to assemble even with some confusion with the instructions. The backrest post instruction confusing, (square/round hole). Assembly/operation instructions could have been more descriptive. The forward tilt lever is a nightmare to adjust while sitting in this chair. I had to get someone to move lever in to place while I was leaning back on the chair. The transition region change point from tilted forward to flat was the area I wanted to have the tilting action to occur. When flat the chair was rigid. The chair height adjustment seems loose and wobbly but the adjustment range of this is right at the very top when lifting the handle the last half inch. It just needs to depress the gas cylinder that controls the chair height. The arms allow close desk access and the extra chair height is nice. I think it is best to always try a chair our first before buying. I regretfully must return this chair.

I have had this chair over a year now and I can say its the best money I ever spent on a office chair. I bought this for gaming episodes that can last hours and use to leave me ache in the hips and back. This chair is perfect for that the adjustments make the chair conform and support your body , no more ache and pain after hours of gaming. Im going to buy another for regular office duty. Im thinking I am more mechanically inclined since the assembly was very simple. This chair is worth a lot more than what it cost. It is at least worth the price plus the price of the crappy chair you had before this one.

Love my chair. I had this exact model chair for 10yrs before I finally purchased another one. They are great! Super comfortable for sitting all day long. Well made!

I held my breath when I purchased this chair sight unseen. It was a lot of money for someone on a fixed income, and I knew I was also going to have to get someone to put it together for me. Am I glad I bought this chair instead of "settling" for one of the cheaper ones from the local office supply store. This beauty is wonderful. I'm an senior short-round-heavy gal with back and leg issues and having a chair that I can adjust so many features allows me to sit comfortably for quite a while when needed.
