Time Capsule Anti-Corrosion Waterproof Stainless Steel Capsule Container Durable Lock Container for Future Graduation Gift (13.4 Inch)

I ordered one for my son a couple years ago and now this one for my daughter. I made both of my kids time capsules for their first birthday and asked friends and family to write them letters. I added decals on the capsule stating to open on their 18th birthday. I look forward to seeing how well these capsules hold up. They are currently “ buried” in our attic. The quality is nice. Easy to assemble, no instructions needed as it’s pretty self explanatory. The seal seems pretty tight too.

It looks really good quality. Came with all the tools, even some white gloves. All screws are included and nothing is missing.I guess we will see about the quality if someone opens it in 100 years or so. Maybe, if Amazon still exists in 100 years, someone can update the review, lol. It obviously won’t be me. I am excited about it and wished I thought of this sooner.

Its a nice looking unit, the tube itself is four inches across on the inside and ten inches long inside. There is a small amount of added space from the two end caps. The outside is shiny like chrome, I'm not sure that it is stainless or just plated steel. It comes with white gloves, 2 seals, all the hardware and simple hand tools to tighten the bolts and nuts.I have an unusual plan for mine... I wrote a 4-page letter to people in the future and folded it to fit inside and I added a few personal items from my everyday life and I will have it placed inside my casket when I die, it will go down by my feet. I had to show it to the funeral home for approval. Their big concern was that I wasn't burying the ashes of another person with me to cheat them out of another sale. But all I am putting inside is a 4-page letter (printed on archival paper) and some personal stuff, like an MP3 player and headphones, photos, dog tags (to identify me), and a summary of my genealogy.If you decide to do the same thing you want it to be as far from your abdomen as possible because that's where most of the nasty and corrosive gasses come from from during decomposition. If its not a high grade of stainless steel it might not survive undamaged. Joke: I should probably put the amazon purchase receipt inside the tube too!

Used for a grief recovery tool and everyone who saw it remarked a the design and perfect size for honoring someone who has died. The silicone gasket gives an air and water tight seal to assure products inside are protected.

A lot larger than I expected. Wonderfully made and can't wait to use it. Buying another one for backup.

I threw my son's girlfriend a baby shower. My son wanted everyone to write letters to the baby of what they would say to her so he could put them in a time capsule. Just in case some of the older family members weren't around later. He planned on giving this time capsule to her when she graduated. He didn't know that we were getting a real time capsule. He was going to use a big kitchen sugar jar with a flip top lid, but I got sneaky and made this a gift at the baby shower. He was very surprised and really liked the time capsule. So. Everyone's letters got put into the time capsule. So, baby girl will get her letters when she is close to 18.
