Trumpeter 1/25 2002 American Lafrance Eagle Fire Pumper Truck Model Kit (TSM-2506)

Kit came very well wrapped and protected - All parts were intact in the box. Sprews of plastic parts were mostly individually wrapped. Fire Engine Cab is one piece and well molded. Directions are clear but painting information is a little sparse.

Nice model kit. It seems to be very high quality. Haven't started assembly yet but I'm sure it will be a great Mosel when done.

I really enjoyed building this kit. And as long as you take your time and put a little effort into your own personal build ; you can have a great looking truck. The only downside of this kit, in my own opinion.. Is that it could be a little better detailed for it's price point. Other than that, I recommend you get one.

So far, it's been extremely easy to put together, several of the parts fit together so tightly, that they're almost like a snap together kit. I WILL be buying more!!!

This is a great model. Be advised this is NOT a TOY!!!! There are a great deal of parts. They are marked very well and didn't have any trouble finding the right parts. They are arranged logically and and are grouped together according to the instructions. A nice touch with the metal photo etched parts. The decals however are a bit soft and difficult to handle. Micro-sol was helpful but I did experience some wrinkling and tearing. (could be my skill level contributed to that..)Be prepared for a LOT of sanding and shaving. The parts come off the sprues OK, but most have a seam or require some type sprue tree removal. The instructions for painting are helpful but seem to be missing main body color parts. I had to visualize the completed model in order to get the right parts to set aside for painting ( I still missed a couple of parts). I used foil for the plating to give it a more realistic look. You really need to take your time with this kit.

So I'm in the process of putting it together and so far all the parts fit very well. This is the first time I tried aTrumpeter/Faller kit. Very impressed. I'm modeling after FDNY engine 217 Brooklyn. It has family history.

Excellent transaction...excellent packaging ....excellent product

Molded very well without a lot of fllashing or bubbles. Seams fit nicely, just minor putty use to seal fully. Nice model to build.
