Soft and easy to use!
I've only just used it, but it's very easy to manipulate and dries as expected.

A GREAT HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT, WITH SOME CAVEATS.
This excellent clay has properties that make it perfect for what I needed, but these same properties may not make it for everyone. When dry, it remains somewhat flexible, with the strips being able to bend like a hard rubber eraser. I use the clay to take impressions of small coins and ancient seals for my business, and in this capacity it excels. While the product is still firm, it is not as easily broken as other clays, and does not crumble either. This saves me from having to attempt to make multiple impressions of the same item, as other clays tended to break or crumble when rolled into sheets this thin. This is PERFECT for my purposes, which is using the clay to make detailed impressions of Ancient coins and seals. This requires the clay to be kept in thin strips which are not fragile. When rolled thin, other clays tended to break or crumble very easily, wasting my time, effort, and product .If you have a project where you need to shape the clay into thin strips, this clay will save you a lot of frustration. Also, the clay is EXCELLENT at taking detailed impressions, and is far better at retaining fine detail than other products I have used.In addition, when the clay dries, the finished product is much lighter than normal clay.I would reccomend this clay as a superior clay for most projects. Its properties will save a lot of people from a lot of frustration, unless you have a project where it's flexibility and other properties might prove to be a negative.

JUST TERRIBLE- Confused about other ratings! Did I get a dud?
This is by far the worst clay of any type I've ever tried to work with. When rolling it, it easily breaks apart. Twisting into a rope style is pretty much impossible. Cracks everywhere! I am confused about why people seem to like it so much. It's nothing like any other sculpey product I've used. Maybe I got a dud? Or they changed the formula?

Great Clay and Great Seller
I've ordered 4-5 of these clay packages from the seller so far. They arrive quickly and undamaged. This clay is great for building diorama walls, stone walls, rock structures and caves/mountains. The grainy texture is what makes the Terra Cotta a great fit for this type of work. It is easier to use than the white version (the white version is better however for more natural objects like animals, humans, flowers)Thank you for sending this clay fast to me!

We use this to make clay impressions of paw prints, and it works well. I definitely prefer the terra cotta to the white clay of the same brand. The terra cotta has a more malleable texture and does a great job at hiding the dirt and debris that you find on a dog's foot. This is the only brand we use!

Good
I got this for a school craft project for kids. It was a fun activity. Loved the texture of this clay. It was easy to work with. Took about 2 days to dry. Overall, a good product.

Three Stars
Works well with initial handling but I found it impossible to combine scraps into a workable piece.

Make just about anything
Used this for a church project for young woman and it works like you expect it to. Forgiving and easy to reuse if you mess up and need to start over. Once dried it looks and feels like any other clay. Would reorder again.
